Susan Backlinie, the stuntperson and actress who as a young skinny-dipper out for a nighttime swim off the coast of Amity Island became the shark’s first victim in Steven Spielberg’s Jaws, has died. She was 77. Backlinie died Saturday at her home in Ventura, California, her convention agent, Matthew Templeton, told The Daily Jaws website. Backlinie was a nationally ranked swimmer and professional diver who had performed as a mermaid and worked as an animal trainer when she was hired at age 28 to play the skinny-dipping Chrissie in Universal’s Jaws (1975).

He was 98. Corman died May 9 at his home in Santa Monica, Calif., surrounded by family members, the family confirmed to Variety. “His films were revolutionary and iconoclastic, and captured the spirit of an age. As bad as his films were - and they were really bad, for the most part - an entire generation of directors and producers learned techniques from his films that made the movie era of the '70s-'90s what it was...and that was a really damned good era.  RIP.

Aj smith passed way. Great front office man for the bills. No surprise the drought started after he left. Went to chargers in 2000, put together some very good teams there. Rip

I thought he'd died years ago, to be honest.

He was Buffalo Bill after all.  The fictional talk show host on a fictional television station in the Buffalo, NY market.  The show ran 1982-1983.

Buffalo Bill died?  It must've been that crew member that recorded the Sabres game and asked everyone to not tell him what happened and then Bill told him Perreault got a hat trick.

Him, or Gina Davis.  She always was sketchy.  Hot, but sketchy.

😉

RIP Mr. Coleman.
