So, we have to wait for the third consecutive Quarter report at the end of October? The one just before the midterms?

C'mon man, you know they're going to talk about the upcoming Trump-Putin-DeSantis Recession in October. How else do you get out the stern warning that if people don't vote Democrat, they not only 'ain't black', they're pro-recession?

Science actually is a social construct.  Original foundations of empiricism laid by the classical Greek philosophers, refined through the years (most notably in the Islamic world from the 8th to the 14th century), and ultimately achieving its modern form with Newtonian and Darwinian philosophies.

And it's a very effective social construct for describing the observable universe in a manner that's repeatable, consistent, and independent of individual bias.  But it is, nonetheless, very much a social construct.

I have published papers in Physics Review E, PRL, ApJ, and Physica.

I've taught the scientific method.  I have forgotten more about the scientific method than you have ever known.

How is Darwinian evolution observable, or even repeatable and consistent if it is based on random mutation as claimed?

Manchin says he has health, energy, tax deal with Schumer

In an unexpected turnabout, Sen. Joe Manchin announced Wednesday that he had reached an expansive agreement with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer which had eluded them for months on health care costs, energy and climate issues, taxing higher earners and large corporations and reducing federal debt.

Manchin, D-W.Va., whose resistance had long derailed sweeping legislation on those issues, abruptly revealed the agreement in a press release. It provided virtually no details on the accord.

Manchin, one of the most conservative Democrats in Congress, just last week said he would only agree this month to far more limited legislation curbing prescription drug costs and extending federal subsidies for health care costs.

He said he was open to considering a broader compromise on environment and tax issues after Congress returns from a summer recess in September, an offer that many Democrats thought dubious.

OF course, Manchin being Manchin, there's at least an even-money chance he'll back out of it.

FIFY... I hate the misuse of the term conservative discussing any of the current Democrats.

How Sinema Responded to Senate Dems' Tax Hike Plan

Short answer: she has not: "'We do not have a comment, as she will need to review the text,' a Sinema spokesperson said in the hours after news broke of Manchin's stunning reversal."

There is speculation (trying to find where I saw it) that Schumer and Manchin put on an act of disagreement for the tax hike plan in order to get McConnell to get the GOP votes for CHIPs, which they got, and then immediately Manchin was Manchin again, and the GOP is pretty pissed.
