Joey Oatmeal brought up today the 10-year-old rape victim who had to leave her state of Ohio to get an abortion because Ohio was going to force her to keep the baby.

The problem? No one is able to confirm any part of the story. The only thing they can figure out is it's just another tee'd up far left lie to piss off their base.

Read this. It's pretty incredible.

Note. She doesn't completely debunk this, but in the end, the rape victim was recommended to the abortion specialist by a child abuse counselor. The problem? The FIRST thing the counselor was supposed to do was call police.

But alas, there is no police record to be found.

It gets worse. And very frustrating.

If my 10 yo was a rape survivor I would be a person of interest in a murder.

While I don't expect much from the news anymore, a story about a 10 year old rape victim seems like a softball over the middle of the plate.

If you're a 'person of interest', you didn't do it right.

One would think.

But when they won't bother asking about 50 dead bodies in the back of a semi in Texas, they sure the hell won't ask how a 10-year-old was raped.

I'm not on twitter but Tucker did a piece on this last night and suggested what a shame it would be if their feed was suddenly filled with false sightings. Sounded like it could be such a travesty if it actually happens....

Except overturning Roe v. Wade didn't somehow magically convey personhood on fetuses.  Just put the responsibility back on the states.  Furthermore, Roe v. Wade effectively decided that human life began at 20 weeks, so even with Roe v. Wade in effect, she could make the same argument.

Plus, the Texas transportation laws are not Texas abortion laws...and the applicable law doesn't say "two or more people in the car," it says "two or more people occupying seats in the car."

Ergo...as much as I admire her chutzpah, she's a &#%$ing idiot.  Know the law before you bring stupid challenges against it.

I realize I'm out of the loop on a number of things but... Have 10 year old's progressed far enough through puberty these days to be able to be pregnant or is this just another Leftist trope?

Some girls hit puberty at that age.  In fact, the mean age of onset of puberty has dropped by about 4 years since 1920, and the average age now is about 11, for boys and girls.

Not a joke at all and extremely interested in how. You are extremely knowledgeable about so many topics. Are you well read?  deeply educated? Lots of learning trhoughout a long life? Or does wisdom go in your head and never leave? 🤔

All of the above.  Speed-reader, have read a hell of a lot, most of my reading is a wide variety of non-fiction, and have something of a steel-trap brain.

In this case...I read research a while back hypothesizing that the age of menarche in girls has reduced over the last 100 years (probably 80 when I read it) because of industrialization and the increased exposure to estrogen-mimicking chemicals like bisphenol-A.  Those sorts of things just stick with me.

Couldn't tell you where I put my car keys yesterday, though.
