I’ll say 70/30 in answer to that question.

 

Jordan, Bird (and others) scored 100 on the competitive scale and had limitless success too, so it’s not just that. There’s just something weird about this dude. I can’t put my finger on it, but feel strongly there will be a “whoa…” moment with him at some point post-retirement.

I think if a player gets fined for doing something to another player, that other player should get the money.

For a fringe player on a league minimum contract 11k would be a significant chunk of change. For Brady it’s the equivalent of me treating a coworker to lunch, he’s not gonna notice. If the goal was indeed to make it look like the league was doing something without actually punishing Brady, this would do it.
