Josh Allen ..................The Book of Josh.

Power rankings are fun to look at, especially when your team is doing well, but beyond team records, it's all about what the author thinks.

This QB Index at NFL.com  is a little better because he ties stats to his ranking, and it gives you a nice dashboard of how QBs stack up. Example; Josh has 257 rushing yards, and you're like "Damn," and you see Lamar has 510 and you're like "DAMN."

This week's Index Ranking is particularly entertaining for a couple of reasons.

First, his description of Allen is actually kind of funny.

Quote

NFL weekends aren’t the same without Buffalo’s hurly-burly behemoth hopscotching defenders and shredding cowed secondaries with his war-droid right arm. Pre-Halloween Allen is operating at the height of his powers atop a Bills offense that -- like Kansas City’s operation -- shifts into modes of unstoppable power when the machinery clicks. Allen’s upcoming Sunday night duel with Aaron Rodgers and the broken-down Packers has the feel of Old God vs. New God in a shifting pro football landscape.

But I was glad to see him put Lamar and Tua in their places. They get a ridiculous amount of hype, which is fine because that's what sports journalist like to do, but Sessler points out that in spite of all the love, the dudes have problems.

On Lamar:

From a darker angle, Jackson’s turnovers were a factor, too, in losses to the Bills and Giants, and it’s fair to wonder about the ceiling of an offense that saw Lamar complete just nine passes against Cleveland’s shaky defense.

On Tua:

Quote

He's one of the NFL's better stories and not without streaks of juicy accuracy -- and he's outshined expectations tossing deep -- but Tua has been fortunate all season on passes fluttering off enemy hands. He remains a solid fit for Mike McDaniel's scheme, but please learn to slide,

On Prancer. On Vixon.

Has me wondering what teams would be willing to give up for him, though.  Broncos gave up three players and five picks (two firsts and two seconds) for Wilson.  What do you think Allen would be worth?

"We want all your draft picks for the next five years.  All of them.  Including any you trade for after this deal.  And a guarantee that, when we play you, Allen's inactive."
