On Saturday Night Football, they said Trevor Lawrence cleared concussion protocol and will play this weekend.

Could be a case of coaching desperation and an athlete’s stubborn desire to not miss a game start. If Jar Jar Binks gets hurt I won’t be sympathetic at all.

Good for Baker. I didn't care for the kid when he was in Cleveland but since he has moved on, he seems to have grown up a bit.

Yeah he was a douche at Cleveland and in college at Oklahoma, but he has since matured.

Lawrence has 49 starts vs. Mac the Spork's 42, 400 more pass attempts, 200 more completions, and 3400 more yards.  And a 2.2% int rate vs. 2.8%.

Lawrence suffered a shoulder injury against the Bucs. His status for this weeks games is unknown presently.

Lawrence got hurt on a drive that started with under 4 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter down 30-0.  I don't know the number of comebacks that have happened from that deficit with that kinda time left but sometimes it's better to start thinking about the next game a little earlier, especially given he was coming off concussion protocol.

I had the same issue with Purdy still being in the game late in the 4th down 21.  He was getting smacked around pretty good all game.  Leaving him in made pretty much no sense.

Now officially the worst trade in NFL history.

Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant, defensive lineman Shelby Harris and five draft picks — two firsts, two seconds and a fifth — for 11 wins over 2 seasons.

Jacksonville is in a tight spot, having lost their last 4 games. I think the Texans may be getting Stroud back this week.

Certainly in recent memory.

This one was right up there in the worst trade ever list as well.

Seems they don't play very well West of the Atlantic.

A little context...

Sources to@BleacherReport: The #Broncos threatened to bench Russell Wilson weeks ago if he didn’t remove his injury guarantees.

Russell Wilson’s benching by the Broncos today is solely financially related and has been in the works for weeks, per multiple sources with direct access to the situation.

The Broncos approached Wilson two days after their October 29 upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs and told him he would be made inactive for the rest of the season if he did not adjust his contract and defer the injury guarantee trigger date that he has for 2025. Wilson has $37 million in injury guarantees for 2025 that will become guaranteed no matter what on the fifth day of the 2024 league year in March.

At that time, Wilson was coming off a 3-touchdown game in the win over the Chiefs and was starting to experience the type of success he envisioned following a challenging first year in Denver. The threat however, “shocked him,” and the two sides got into a major dispute on how to proceed.

The issue remained, but the Broncos stuck with Wilson as the team strung together primetime wins over the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings, followed by another win over the Cleveland Browns, one of the league’s best defenses. Wilson, 35, has started all 15 games this season and has completed 66.4 percent of his passes for 3,070 yards with 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

When the threat was made by the Broncos, the team, Wilson's camp, the NFLPA, and another unknown party were involved in negotiations that ended with no change in Wilson’s contract

And it all came crashing down today when Sean Payton and other top-level members of Denver’s organization decided to go ahead with the plan they’ve had for weeks.

How does this hurt/help Wilson/Broncos?
