They are probably saying: "DAMN! This dude needs to water his lawn, there's nothing to eat here!"

😉

They don't look like they're starving to me.

Was this taken through one of those scopes with a camera? 😆

LOL....just the iphone 13 from my top deck.  You can see the top of one of the short trees in the foreground that lines the actual grass part of the lawn (which is only about 15' deep).  Deer are standing about at the property line, which then just goes back into the hills in the public space.

I live in one of those houses on the slope where the garage is the only thing at street level, but the back of the house opens up to the downslope.

I think they're mule deer.  Caught 'em in the yard yesterday before they jumped through the trees.

We had a bright yellow bird this weekend.  Likely either a warbler or a grossbeak.  Possibly a vireo, oriole, or meadowlark.

Didn't get a good enough look, and it turns out there's a lot of "yellow birds" in Maryland.

The "bachelor flock" of peaceful roosters are back in our yard daily, I count 7 🐓 🐓 🐓 🐓 🐓 🐓 🐓!  They make a heck of a ruckus, noise!

One's on bench eyeing wife's potted plants!

I betcha if we put out chicken feed, we can lead them right to deck!

Rut-Oh!

State flower is black-eyed Susan if I am correct. Like to blend in! 😉

Wrong. They are in the Wenaha unit where I got my elk.

They also evade cougars better since they are more skittish.

Then it's mules east of Rockies, right? Or are there populations of mule deer east?

There are mule deer in Texas and some of the largest are in the Grand Canyon.

I miss cardinals since they never made it over the Rockies (birds that is 😁)

That thing looks like it could kill me pretty easily.

And it wouldn't stop my wife from trying to pet it.

My suggestion, but I don't know if these are allowed where you live in the Democrat Peoples Republic of Maryland, is
