We locked through a 10pt. buck yesterday:

Sent him on his merry way southbound!

Swimming all around town!  Checked out the upper sector gate recesses.  I gave him a "hydraulic assist" southbound and cracked my upper valves to add a little "TushPush" w/his swim down river!

Just @ the lock alone he swam +3,000 feet... Over 1/2 mile.  Lock is 22 feet deep, river about 9 feet deep. 1,000 foot long lock chamber & guidewalls. Pretty accomplished swimmer!  Got his exercise!!!

Yes! Right around the corner the fields... Channel project depth is 9 feet... It's shallow quickly outside the channel.  There was a bassboat fishing there. Corralled it to the shore.
