ComradeKayAdams
Anyone else shocked that Don Granato is already the 8th longest tenured head coach in the NHL?? I’m not QUITE ready to give up on him, however, like so many other Sabres fans seem to be right now. Normally I, too, would prefer a proven head coach like Craig Berube or Gerard Gallant, but there’s no denying that the team is extremely young and has been dealing with a lot of injuries. These next 15 games scheduled before the All-Star Game break seem to be noticeably lighter in competition than the first 34. The Bruins, Rangers, Canucks, and Kings are currently top 5 teams (going by earned points percentage). The Senators (twice), Canadiens, Lightning, Blue Jackets, Penguins, Blackhawks, Kraken, Sharks (twice), and Ducks are all currently bottom 14 teams. So with Girgensons the only Sabre currently on the injury report, January would be a good trial month for Coach Granato to finally get the team to play with some consistency. The players clearly got the message from the fans during the Columbus game and didn’t quit on their coach against Toronto. If they somehow win 12 of their next 15 games, they would be back on a playoff-qualifying pace. We shall see, though…easier teams have apparently been their kryptonite this season. The Sabres are a competitive 6-4-1 against current top 10 teams: Rangers: 1-1 Bruins: 1-1 Golden Knights: 1-0 Jets: 0-1 Avalanche: 1-1 Capitals: 0-0-1 Maple Leafs: 2-0 But they are only 8-13-2 against the bottom 22: Islanders: 1-1 Flyers: 1-1 Predators: 0-1 Hurricanes: 0-1-1 Coyotes: 1-1 Devils: 0-2 Red Wings: 0-1 Lightning: 1-0 Penguins: 1-1 Canadiens: 0-1-1 Wild: 1-0 Blues: 0-1 Flames: 0-1 Blue Jackets: 0-1 Senators: 1-0 Blackhawks: 1-0
snafu
I had two tix to tonight’s game vs. Rangers. Gave them to two of my kids. I didn’t want to take one or the other. They’re gonna have a great time. Games at MSG are good.

Sure overshadows the nice game result and performance from UPL.

Do not know which knee he messed up in the summer. Sorry. And, yes, that did not look good yesterday. Hoping it was the ankle and not the knee. Either way, best case is probably getting him back in March.

Looked like it was bent to places it shouldn’t go.

Crap Throwing Clavin
This Carolina game is the first game I've watched all season that the Sabers haven't been blown out in the first period. It was a good game. On home ice, no less! Sabres played well. UPL was steady and reliable. The third period was all action and the Sabres showed resilience. Killed one late penalty. Gave up a shorty with 6 minutes left, and tied it two minutes later — when in previous games that late Hurricanes goal would have been death. They finally have a 3-game win streak. But they have a few more tough games coming up. 1
Crap Throwing Clavin
Overtime just isn't the same with out hearing Rick Jeanneret say "OOOOOoooooovertime!" Different subject: will be in Buffalo for the eclipse, and have tickets to the Sabers-Caps game on the 11th. Anyone have any advice on parking for the game? There's parking in the closest lot to the arena on Michigan about 4 minute walk to arena doors. $20 lots of space easy in and out. Childs play compared to Bills games. Forgot to mention it was cashless. Edited March 1 by Jabba The Hutt

Hit the Naval Park, give a lecture on the P-39 display there, have a quick meal with the wife before the game.

Doesn't seem to, one game we showed up 10 minutes before it started and still got in, they have overflow after the main part fills closer to the casino, they just swing the gate open and fill that part.
