  The media describes the new deal as a restructure with 2.5 million saved for 2024 but it amounts to an extension with money pushed into future years.

After announcing Friday that Cincinnati would receive two sixth-round picks, the council came back after the error and switched to giving the Bengals a third-round (No. 97) and a sixth-round (No. 214) pick.

 

Adding a third-round pick out of thin air would be considered one of Cincinnati’s first major wins of the offseason.

  I think we sign a mid-tier safety then it is on to the draft then wait for surprise cuts when training camps start during late summer.

You're probably right, though I suspect there will be more players cut today/tomorrow that may be in play.

Technically, Onalim replaced Roquan Smith/Jack Sanborn.  Morrow was the WLBer.
