My first thought, exactly.  Another underperforming player on a 1-year contract who's touted as another player who'll "help Josh Allen," but they never do.

 

At least Beane only signs these guys to cheap one-year contracts, and not 3-year, $20M contracts like previous regimes would have.

He’s been a captain on multiple teams - for a non star player that says a lot. Guessing he’s a process guy and good for the locker room. He also plays all four team units so it’s maybe a Neal replacement for that group?
