What about inflation and your dollar's valuation eroding over time. Does it then take roughly 40 years for the taxpayer to recoup?

As an example let’s say there’s 10% inflation. You’d expect everything to go up by 10%, including taxes collected. That being the case, inflation will not erode the value of the taxes. If anything the opposite will happen. The salary cap has been rising at a faster pace than inflation. A higher salary cap means higher player salaries, which means more income taxes paid to the state.

that's cool concept

Pegula's get to take credit for the players' income taxes paid by them as the main component in paying back the cost of a stadium that will drive up the value of the Bills franchise,  for their sole benefit.

Who pays the cost overruns?

Erie county is somehow going to cover the debt service on its funding commitment with no increase in taxes.

admirable accomplishment

He's pretty proud that all work will be done by union workers

I guess pretty important for getting re-elected

not so much for keeping construction costs down

(but that isn't his problem anymore as cost overruns have been passed to the Bills)
