That was one of the most useless articles I've read in years. I find it hard to believe someone submitted it, someone edited it, someone handed it over to production to get on the website, and then someone else cut a check to the person who wrote that.

McDermott on Cam Newton ahead of AFC East showdown: We know what he's capable of

</snip>

"He's a good player, we have a lot of respect for him and he's the former MVP of the league for a reason," McDermott said this week, via the Boston Globe. "We know full well what he's capable of."

McDermott's relationship with Newton dates back to their Carolina days when the former was the Panthers defensive coordinator from 2011-2016. It was the heyday of Newton's career, which included a 2015 NFL MVP trophy and a Super Bowl trip.

"He's certainly a great player and I think people don't know who he is off the field and they always wonder," McDermott said. "Cam and I, our relationship goes back a long time and he is a real joy to be around and a pleasure of a man just in terms of the way he handles himself with all the attention he's gotten over the years. He was always very respectful and kind to me and my family and I'll never forget that."

Clearly John Brown is the x-factor.  Teams have been able to take Diggs out of the game effectively in the last 3. If Brown is back, that task is moot, because nobody has the horses to cover both Brown & Beas and leave a spy on Allen.

Update - sounds like Julian is out this Sunday....

The last image I saw of Edelman Sunday, he was sitting on the bench looking like he just pulled the short straw to stay behind to detonate the nuclear bomb on the asteroid before it got too close to earth.

He really did... but I have very little sympathy.

Smoke looking better today.

Good - when he plays the D must leave someone singled up.  Josh needs to find and take advantage of the mismatch.  I believe the top 4 Bills WRs are better than the other teams top 4 DBs.

Anyone know what's up with Butler and Jefferson?  They out this Sunday?

DT Vernon Butler (groin)
DT Quinton Jefferson (knee)

A bad run defense may be getting worse.

Bills looking to add Daron Lee?

This could be a good signing for us. Bit on the smallish side, I think 6'1 and about 230 but is fast and can cover. Jets drafted him in the first 2016 but it was more on athletic ability than anything else.

Maybe just needs a change of scenery and another chance not the Jets or Chiefs?

I’m curious if they will sit Gilmore if they are genuinely looking to move him.

I hope Gilmore sits but if weather conditions are as bad as forecast - we might be running the whole game.
