THE TIMES SAYS SENILITY IS A-OK

Democrats have mostly given up on denying that Joe Biden is suffering from an advanced stage of dementia. Their strategy, as exemplified by their mouthpiece the New York Times, has shifted to a defense of senility. Do we need a mentally competent president? Nah.

This morning’s Times email, which is curated by David Leonhardt, the Times’s “senior writer” who writes for “The Times’s flagship daily newsletter,” said this morning:

Strange as it may sound, the American government can function without a healthy president.

Hey, Edith Wilson did a great job!

The issue that makes many Democrats even more anxious than Biden’s second-term capabilities is whether his age will prevent him from winning a second term. If enough voters are turned off by the idea of a president who would turn 86 in office, Republicans might win full control of the federal government in 2024 — and Donald Trump might return to the White House.

I know that it may seem crass for Democrats to worry more about partisan politics than the mental acuity of the country’s most powerful person. But it’s not entirely irrational.

Of course not! Because nothing matters except beating Republicans. Nothing matters except power. But the concerns of swing voters may need to be taken into account:

In the upcoming campaign, you can imagine that a verbal misstep could cause some swing voters to wonder whether Biden is up for a second term.

In fact, we are far beyond the realm of “verbal missteps.”

Of course, there would be a simple way for Biden to address the concerns: He could spend more time speaking in public now and demonstrate his vigor. Instead, he and his aides have chosen the opposite approach.

Because Biden is senile and can’t withstand even a minimal level of public scrutiny. We get it. Biden is incompetent, and the Democratic Party’s mouthpieces have no problem with that. “[T]he American government can function without a healthy president.” The permanent state will govern, as before.

Same people spent five years trying to invoke the 25th Amendment by trying to remotely diagnosing as mentally ill.  But now...hey, no big deal!

No matter what you want to say about him, he is not afraid of the press. I hope he has his own camera there, and maybe someone who will ask him a reasonable question.

CNN to Host Live Town Hall with Former President Donald Trump

Prime Time Event Moderated by CNN Anchor Kaitlan Collins Airs Wednesday, May 10 at 8pmET

With the 2024 presidential election underway, CNN Anchor Kaitlan Collins will moderate a live CNN Town Hall with former President Donald Trump at 8pmET on Wednesday, May 10 from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire.

The former President and 2024 Republican presidential candidate will take questions from Collins and a live audience of New Hampshire Republican and undeclared voters who say they intend to vote in the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary.

CNN has a longstanding tradition of hosting leading presidential candidates for Town Halls and political events as a critical component of the network’s robust campaign coverage. This event with former President Trump will be the first of many for CNN in the coming months as CNN correspondents travel across the country to hear directly from voters in the runup to the 2024 presidential election.

Black support for Republicans has been trending up the last decade, though slowly.

Expect Democrats to turn up the “racism!” message to 11 and beyond as election day draws near next year. Stay tuned.

BEHIND THE LEFT’S ADDICTION TO RACISM

As is well known, the problem with addiction is that it requires larger and larger doses to get results, until it becomes fatally destructive to the addict.

This medical fact may well be a political fact for the left, as its obsession with all things race has lead it progressively over the last generation to find more and more of it, requiring ever more outlandish remedies, such as trillion-dollar reparations proposals.

There’s a simple electoral logic of this for the Democratic Party: without high black turnout and the heavy Democratic skew of the black vote, Democrats stand to lose more elections.

anyone know anything about this guy?

Ron DeSantis Has an Important Choice to Make (msn.com)

Mark Robinson: The Quintessential American Success Story

In fact, he might beat Donald Trump for the nomination.

If that’s the case, then, DeSantis will need to choose someone as his running mate who will augment his favorable qualities and cover up for whatever unfavorable aspects of his personality and/or policies there are.

That person is the current Republican South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson (full disclosure: my first two books were published by the same publishing house as Robinson’s recent biography).

A true rags-to-riches story, Robinson first rose to prominence in 2018 when he stormed the Greensboro City Council to deliver what many described as a “fiery” and “common sense” speech defending gun rights. From there, Robinson cut quite a swathe in conservative media as a black man who was proudly—defiantly—conservative.

Robinson hits every point that DeSantis needs in a running-mate. The lieutenant governor has executive experience. He’s tough-as-nails. Robinson plays well in the media environment, too. Robinson is brash and loud—like a younger Donald Trump—whereas DeSantis is quiet and calculating.

Both men are proven conservatives from an ideological perspective. They’d play off each other well as president and vice-president. What’s more, Robinson speaks to a large segment of the voting populace that neither DeSantis nor former President Donald Trump do: African-American males.

If DeSantis gets the Republican nomination, does anyone not believe Trump won't run as an Independent, guaranteeing another Dem prez?

The Republicans remain a feckless party, by design. The voting system, and all of its flaws, is still controlled by the same groups. There is nothing that can, or will be, done that will not guarantee the iron grip of the Communists in charge to continue to close.

No doubt. I guess what the hidden hand's exact objectives are, are not known at this point though.

Well, it seems apparent that we are headed towards a constant state of surveillance, where communication, movement, and purchases will be tightly controlled, just like China. Unpersoning, debanking, and unemployment for anyone who dares to question the establishment. Social Credit Scores. Environmental Credit Scores. Propaganda pushed everywhere. Continued erosion of morals and familial values. Financial enslavement of anyone who isn't black in the name of reparations. Destruction of anyone that doesn't bow to the thing of the day.

The only unknown is the method of extermination that will be employed IMO.
