Two nights before the Buffalo Bills receiver lit up the New England Patriots, he showed up famished on the doorstep of a random family’s home to nosh, chat and open presents.

“It’s so Buffalo, you know?” homeowner Garrett Timms said. “Here’s a guy none of us knows. What are the chances?”

McKenzie was welcome. Let’s not let the story get too far along without saying that. But the way he found the house is remarkable.

For the trip to New England, McKenzie had to take his 5-month-old pit bull, Papi, to the boarder. He hoped to grab a burger at Forty Thieves Kitchen & Bar while he was out.

Bummed to discover the restaurant was closed, he posted an Instagram plea at 8:43 p.m.

“Anybody got food at they house? Cause I’m hungry!”

“I responded to it almost as a joke, with my uncle’s address,” Uba said. “I DM Josh Allen once a week and get no answer, so I thought there was no way he would see it.”

McKenzie replied, “Say no more.”

In less than 15 minutes, McKenzie pulled up in his Mercedes SUV.

“What a surreal thing,” said Uba, an Evans Bank marketing specialist.

McKenzie walked into a traditional Polish holiday party. The family of 16 already had eaten, but plenty of pierogi, tenderloin and a certain other family dish remained. They seated McKenzie at the head of the table and brought him plates.

“It was like I was a family member, an uncle or something,” McKenzie said. “It felt good, being there at their dinner table. I got to watch them open gifts.

“It was awesome to be around people who just want to hang out, be normal and enjoy Christmas Eve instead of sitting alone.”

McKenzie was lucky to encounter a family that’s familiar with accommodating big-league athletes. Purely by coincidence, he walked into the home of the New York Islanders’ former head athletic trainer

I think he meant the 3rd TD. That’s was the one on 4th down where he broke the corner’s ankles at the 10 yard line with the head fake and no one else was in the picture when he caught the ball.

What's the debate? He should be the #2:

The way he came on at the end of the season, AGAIN would make him a candidate to be the #1 on a lot of teams in the league that don't have Diggs. So lets just refer to him as 1B from now on I think...
