This follow-up needs a little background: pus-bucket is a senior FEMA manager, a system owner, a GS-14 of long tenure.  Me?  I'm a solutions architect on a relatively small FEMA contract (that nonetheless manages billions of dollars in funding).

 

So with that:

 

Me: "This guy's intolerable.  Either he goes or I go."

 

FEMA: "Okay..."  And like that, he is let go.  His last day's today.  

 

I'm very pleased, but genuinely surprised they fired a GS-14 over a contractor.
