Hey, I just had a thought.  What are the odds some county figure decides to make their bones by making a stink about leasing a stadium to a team that "enables rapists?"  :classic_dry:

Good thing that the governor's race is down to Hochul and Zeldin.  If the primary season was still going I could think of a couple of names that would do that without having to check a message board for such an idea.

Buffalo News:

"Buffalo is the 49th-largest metropolitan city in the U.S. – the NFL has 32 teams – and the second smallest market in the league, behind only Green Bay."

There's the Buffalo mentality.  WE'RE AHEAD OF GREEN BAY.

100 foot tall snow fence?

seems to be opposite of a snow fence

snow fence re-directs the wind to dump snow directly over the fence

would be pretty big problem if that happened in the stadium

wind needs to be dispersed, not re-directed

So, they are going to try and mitigate the wind...

Dammit, it's not Buffalo Bills football without one goal post flag pointing left and the other pointing straight up.

A movable fence for when the Pats are ready to kick to make up for all the years cheating

after the Miami heat stroke game, maybe they can install a weather machine to make it snow for all games on the visiting sidelines

Some news

Fairer plan would be for the Bills to up their contribution to build the stadium (or not , as they are already to pay for the overruns from corrupt unions)

in exchange for city politicians paying for their own pet projects

They’ve already got a soap-scum infested swamp featuring backed-up shower drains and a single toilet appointing the visiting team’s locker room.

One wonders if there’s black mold in the visiting team’s coaching staff lockers.

Bills are missing out on Wrestlemania by bypassing on a dome

https://www.outkick.com/at-last-nashville-titans-are-getting-a-domed-stadium/

Even on a bye week, Tennessee Titans fans were given a reason to celebrate Monday morning with the announcement of a new $2.1 billion stadium planned to start construction in Nashville as early as spring 2023. The massive development will measure out at 1.7 million square feet and hold a fan capacity of 60,000.

The plan details that a domed structure will be built, which would grant Nashville eligibility to host the Super Bowl and other major events like WrestleMania.

They estimated last year's Wrestlemania generated over $200M.  Each night had attendance over 150k.

The politicians have their hands out, looking for the Bills to fork over $500 million for their pet projects.

Hopefully they delay until after the Super Bowl before dropping the hammer on this nonsense and bursting their bubble.

"The Buffalo Bills need to recognize that Erie County is not partisan or divided on this," she said. "This is an opportunity for the Bills to be more than just our sports team. This is an opportunity for the Bills to move this region forward."

The group recently garnered support from local municipalities passing resolutions in support of a community benefits agreement that will improve equity and accessibility throughout Erie County. They include the town boards of Amherst, Cheektowaga and stadium neighbors Orchard Park and Hamburg, as well as the Buffalo Common Council.

The coalition is asking the Bills to reinvest $500 million back into the community over the 30-year life of the lease for a new stadium, although even Erie County Legislature Chairwoman April Baskin, a supporter of a strong CBA, has called that number a little steep, compared to past CBAs. That money would go toward grants for affordable housing and businesses, funds to support health equity and youth mentoring and money for student and youth athletics.
