This is really my larger point about Trump. He's every bit the establishment dude that DeSantis is. Maybe more.

If it's Biden vs. Trump, I'll vote Trump, even though it will be a waste of time. But a Biden vs. DeSantis debate would be Andy Kaufman vs Jerry Lawler, and it would be glorious to watch. If you have Biden vs. Trump it'll be Kaufman vs. Kaufman. If you have to have an establishment dude in there, I'd rather it be DeSantis over Trump.

Yes, yes, the guy they are lawfaring daily to try and take away his freedom is establishment through and through.

I think the technical glitches were on Twitter, not DeSantis and shows Twitter spaces has a ways to go.  I liked that he went away from the "msm" and he was never going to get a crowd like Trump (and would have suffered greatly by comparison if he had tried).

The left and Trumpists absolutely piled on those glitches, and it was pretty bad to watch.

While the pile-on was there for the taking, no one will remember anything about it in two weeks, and by the time DeSantis and Trump debate, the numbers will swing dramatically. As I've mentioned before; Trump talks...DeSantis does. Trump fights DeSantis. DeSantis fights Biden and the woke.

Once the glitches were resolved, you heard a dude who is smart, articulate, and ready to fight the woke culture war. As someone mentioned yesterday, "It was really nice listening to a candidate who can complete a full sentence without embarrassing themselves."

Fauci. Covid shutdown. Billions in bad spending. Operation Warp Speed. He screwed all of it up. Why? Because he either did what he was told to do, or he's incompetent.

Neither inspire.

I feel any vote is a waste of time although I still do it.

When football fans hear a rumor about an NFL official who's sisters uncles cousins dog groomer once dated an opposing players cousins great aunt 3 times removed, they feel they are completely rational to assume some kind of conspiratorial reason the official threw a flag in the fourth quarter and lost the game for their team.

But when their politicians who claim to be of one party or another are paid by the same corporations and groups their opponents are, who somehow enter the fray worth $100K but back out of their first term multi millionaires, when their friends and families are all gifted jobs and companies or intermarried with other well to do and controlling families of the opposite political party, they couldn't possibly fathom these politicians being corrupt and I am the lunatic for thinking they are.

It's a dog and pony show. I'm just not wasting money on the tickets.

Like I keep saying: buy a plot of land 5+ acres, preferably elevated in a red city/state. Learn how to grow shit. Learn how to work with your neighbors for self-sufficiency in providing the basics. Do everything you can to depend on as few things as possible (grocery stores, banking, etc.) and clench your ass cheeks.

We'll hopefully be fine in our lifetime, but I'm building a home where my son and his family will be able to provide for themselves because in about 20 years, we'll be a full-on socialist state, regardless of who is president.

My belief (which I have said here countless times) is he was told it was a bioweapon. I do recall him saying the US should reopen by Easter, and the "MSM" and everyone with a relative or friend that had covid reacting savagely to the idea.

Was Fauci evil? IMO, yes. He was also around since St Ronnie. (Cornell should get a spanking for that guy.) But, sure, Trump should have shitcanned him. Pence was made the point man for the pandemic. I suppose Trump choosing him (to get the bible belt vote) was a bad decision, too?

I can kill artificial house plants.  I'm not growing food any time soon.

I've come to terms with the fact that when the country goes to &#%$-all, I'm a dead man.

We used to kill succulents. In California. We've got almost 2000 square feet of garden space now and my homebody, couch potato, Netflix-binging wife is suddenly Mr. Phucking Green Jeans with seeds in one hand and a bag of vermiculite over the shoulder.

Years ago when Obama was elected and guns and ammo were flying off the shelves, I mentioned to my business partner that if the shit hit the fan, I'm heading to his house. He told me not to bother. The doors will be locked. I laughed.

10 years later I have family saying "If the shit hits the fan, we're coming to your house," and suddenly I understand what my partner was saying.

You know me from the homesteading thread and that is exactly what people should be doing. The experiment is over and we are on borrowed time.

Most will not understand this and thats ok. the Godly gifting within me is prophetic. Day one when i walked in the house and my wife had Fauci and Trump on I stopped behind her and said, "that man is evil and never to be trusted". The bride said, why do you say that, he is talking about how to stop the virus. My reply was, because his father is the father of lies and we will go down a bad path because of his direction".

The rest is history.

If it were a bioweapon, it was a very stupid bioweapon.  Even by the standards of bioweapons (which are not too smart to begin with, particularly when infectious.)

You can tell that to all the dead people’s families. I am sure they will take great comfort in it being “very stupid.”

New variant out.

Well, they weren't killed by a bioweapon, so...

Saw a video this week and he brought up the 3 red ribon flag. A bit concerning if true.

Not buying into it yet but for your consideration.

What happened to Trump?

He caved to the daily attacks, impeachments and litigation he endured for 4 years

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/desantis-decks-trump-accusations-running-left

"I don’t know what happened to Donald Trump," DeSantis told WWTN radio in Nashville. "This is a different guy today than when he was running in 2015 and 2016. And I think, I think the direction that he’s going with his campaign is the wrong direction."

More via Bloomberg;

On spending, DeSantis said Trump shares responsibility for the nation’s $31 trillion in debt. “He added almost $8 trillion in debt in just four years as president,” he said. “I was right on those issues and he wasn’t.”

On abortion, DeSantis defended Florida’s newly enacted six-week abortion ban against Trump criticism that it was “too harsh” and that DeSantis didn’t know what he was doing.

*  *  *

On immigration, DeSantis accused Trump of supporting amnesty for undocumented immigrants as part of a 2018 immigration bill. “To hit me for taking the America First position I think is pretty strange,” DeSantis said.

The Trump campaign responded that as a congressman, DeSantis voted for a bill that gave legal status to some undocumented minors as part of a package of tougher immigration restrictions, before opposing a similar plan.

DeSantis also spoke with the Daily Wire's Ben Shapiro, slamming Trump on his approach to crime.
