Earlier in June, Musk said that he had voted for a Republican for the first time in a special election, and DeSantis is his preferred candidate for the 2024 election.

“Today, I’m announcing a petition with the Supreme Court of Florida to impanel a statewide grand jury to investigate any and all wrongdoing in Florida with respect to Covid-19 vaccines,” DeSantis said.

 

Importantly, they will also investigate the link between mRNA vaccines and myocarditis. Myocarditis, or inflammation of the heart muscle, has been repeatedly observed as a side effect of the COVID-19 vaccines.

 

“We are initiating a program here in Florida where we will be studying the incidence in surveillance of myocarditis within a few weeks of Covid-19 vaccination for people who died,” Ladapo said.

 

“And so in Florida, we’re creating what we’re calling the Public Health Integrity Committee. It’s a committee of expert researchers that will be able to assess recommendations and guidance related to public health and healthcare, but particularly being able to offer critical assessments of things that bureaucracies like the FDA, CDC, and NIH are doing,” DeSantis explained.

 

This will counteract the dramatic failures of the CDC, FDA and others to communicate accurate, evidence-based information.

 

Having an independent, authoritative body to contradict their nonsensical guidance is a tremendous win for freedom and public health integrity.

Last year, DeSantis signed a measure into law dissolving Walt Disney World’s special governing power in the state after the company publicly opposed a new parental rights law in the state. In a since deleted LinkedIn post, the NHL announced they were promoting an upcoming job fair in Fort Lauderdale. Sounds reasonable enough.

 

Except, instead of a traditional job fair open to anyone, the NHL announced it was limited to certain categories.

 

According to Fox News, in order to attend, the NHL said you must “identify” as a member of certain diversity demographics.

 

“Participants must be 18 years of age or older, based in the U.S., and identify as female, Black, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, and/or a person with a disability. Veterans are also welcome and encouraged to attend,” the post read.

 

The NHL, which has become increasingly woke, apparently decided it was an opportunity to prove their far left political credentials.

 

DeSantis and his team immediately blasted the NHL, saying the job fair amounted to “discrimination.”

 

“Discrimination of any sort is not welcome in the state of Florida, and we do not abide by the woke notion that discrimination should be overlooked if applied in a politically popular manner or against a politically unpopular demographic. We are fighting all discrimination in our schools and our workplaces, and we will fight it in publicly accessible places of meeting or activity,” Griffin said.

 

He also said the league must “immediately remove and denounce the discriminatory prohibitions it has imposed on attendance to the 2023 ‘Pathway to Hockey’ summit.”

 

After facing criticism for promoting their discriminatory criteria, the NHL immediately backtracked.

“Why are these students on their phones during class all the time? […] They should not be always on their phones, being distracted from the lessons.”

The governor prefaced his comments by saying he supports students having their phones on them during recess. He just prefers they don’t scroll TikTok during their arithmetic session.

 

And that’s where Ms. Ben-Ghiat draws the line. She calls DeSantis’ stance on cell phones “dangerous,” revealing his true “authoritarian” fascinations:

 

DeSantis has come out against the racial and sexual indoctrination of school children. He opposes them using their phones as a distraction during lectures. At any other point in history, that’d make DeSantis a man of common sense.

You can tell Ron DeSantis is over the target in Florida because the mainstream media keeps lying about him.

 

Over the summer, Florida passed legislation trying to ensure that books taught in school were appropriate for children.

 

The law says the books should be age-appropriate, not contain pornography and “suited to student needs.”

 

However, Florida trying to protect children from pornography and inappropriate materials was too much for The Washington Post to take.

 

So, as they do, they wrote a hit piece on the bill, making entirely inaccurate claims about what it says and the penalties teachers could face.

 

In the piece, The Post claimed that Florida teachers could face felony charges for displaying inappropriate books.

 

Except, that’s not at all what the law says.
