Simply putting a few holes in someone is for domestic terrorists, or something.

I can't wait to see everyone who posted tweets celebrating for political reasons a hurricane hitting Florida now denying they ever tweeted anything like that.

The DeSantis War Room is embracing the Left & DDS crowd’s attempted mockery while sipping another glass of liberal tears.

Is it too late to make this the official DeSantis logo?

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/ap-fabricates-completely-false-story-smear-desantis-then-deletes

Tell us you're a propaganda arm of the Democratic party without telling us...

On Thursday, the Associated Press fabricated a story about residents on Florida's Pine Island, who they claimed "have stayed put for days without electricity and other resources while hoping the lone bridge to the mainland is repaired" after Hurricane Ian.

The headline played into the left's ongoing attempts to make this into Gov. Ron Desantis' 'Katrina' moment.

Except, the bridge was repaired the day before.

DeSantis spox Christina Pushaw (recipient of her own backfired hit-pieces) tweeted in response; "Today, @AP tweeted out a *completely false* story about SWFL, fabricated by a “reporter” in Minneapolis who hasn’t gone near Florida since Hurricane Ian," adding "After getting ratioed, AP deleted it. These are the self-appointed “fact checkers” who want to censor you for “disinformation”"

DeSantis is a damn hero.... he got our washed out bridge and roads fixed practically immediately so we could get on and off the island.

These asswipes have no &#%$ing clue...that bridge was repaired days before that fake ass news story! Albeit temporary solution but we were able to get back on and off after we had to leave because we had no idea how much longer we'd be without power, water and island access. Will be forever grateful to DeSantis for his immediate action, he came to see the devastation and ensure we would know what the plan was while everyone else tried to leave us in the dark...literally.

Had to go all the way to Orlando to find someone willing to trash DeSantis' hurricane effort.

all of that flooding is probably due to shoddy plans approved by Disney in its own governing district.

How Hurricane Ian changed the Florida governor’s race (msn.com)

Lori Cajuste, a 55-year-old cafeteria attendant at a hotel near Disneyworld, said her entire Orange County neighborhood flooded, including about five inches of water inside the home where she lives with her cousin.

The water damaged Cajuste’s clothing, furniture, laptops and ruined a fridge full of food, culminating in a heavy financial blow. She said she’s having trouble getting help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency but said DeSantis also has seemed absent in her community.

“DeSantis has not been in Orange County because Orange County has been a blue county,” Cajuste said.

Why were her laptops and clothing within 5 inches of her floor during a hurricane?

Well, it's a commonly known fact that DeathSantis took over Dick Cheney's Weather Dominator (which, of course, was seized from GI Joe by the US government after they wrestled control of it away from COBRA.)

Gov. Ron DeSantis is scheduled to speak Thursday to a sold-out crowd in Alachua (msn.com)

Local GOP President Ed Braddy, also a candidate for county commission, told The Sun Monday that tickets for the event have been sold out and news organizations are restricted from being inside the venue where the governor will speak unless the outlet had previously bought a $125 ticket, which is considered a donation to the local Republican Party.

An annual Republican Party fundraiser where Gov. Ron DeSantis is scheduled to speak to a sold-out crowd will be closed off to media outlets, The Gainesville Sun has learned.

This is odd:

Crist loses campaign manager as Election Day nears

Farewell Charlie Crist’s campaign for governor announced that campaign manager Austin Durrer was leaving with less than three weeks to go before Election Day.

</snip>

I'm sure Crist doesn't give a shit.

He's in this to line his pockets with campaign cash. He knows he's about to get blown out of the water. But he keeps begging for money so he can launder his way to a quick payday once the election is over.

Florida's Hispanic voters back DeSantis over Crist, support Martha's Vineyard migrant flights (msn.com)

Giancarlo Sopo, a Republican strategist of Cuban descent from Miami, said a strain of immigration restrictionism that grew out of the 1980 Mariel boat lift from Cuba and upended Miami prevails.

"Too many Democrats think Hispanics like uncontrolled mass migration and they couldn't be more wrong," Sopo said. "Those of us who remember Miami in the '80s and '90s remember the aftermath of Mariel when 120,000 people showed up in the community over a span of six months. What we're now seeing at the border is two Mariels per month."

Kari Lake Turns Down Vice-Presidency Before Being Elected to Anything (msn.com)

Lake certainly has more charm and natural political talent than the grim protofascist from the other end of the Sunbelt, Ron DeSantis, who has clearly annoyed Trump by becoming preferred to the ex-president by a lot of MAGA and Establishment insiders

DeSantis, Crist shake hands after name calling, sparks flying in Fla. gubernatorial debate (msn.com)

DeSantis pledges to implement permanent tax cuts in only debate with Crist (msn.com)

In nearly every answer, Crist argued he would fight for “the right of women to choose to have an abortion” or claimed that DeSantis was running for president instead of governor.

When asked about the economy and inflation, Crist blamed DeSantis for the price of gas and utilities, saying inflation in Florida was “unique to any other state” and was “too high under [DeSantis’] leadership.”

Palm Beach Post Editorial Board on Florida Governor's race: Forward with Charlie Crist (msn.com)

Charlie Crist's performance and priorities confirmed our reasons for having endorsed his candidacy. He again made it clear he deserves your vote and Ron DeSantis does not.

But when the dust settled, a clear picture did emerge, of American aspiration and fear, vision and bias, grace and derision. Crist showed us who we need to be as individuals and the path we must follow as a state. DeSantis presented an unkind and outdated sensibility, a politician stiffened against economic reform and social justice, fearful of a world changing around him.

Culture war issues DeSantis has brought to the fore came through loud and clear in Monday's debate. Crist correctly called him out for legislating "a whitewashed approach to educating our children" about the Civil War and civil rights and for meddling in family matters regarding gender-related surgery.

Ron DeSantis holds big lead over Charlie Crist for Florida governor. Could Republicans sweep? (msn.com)

Poll shows Republicans poised to win Florida ag commissioner, attorney general and CFO races

But with just over a month until Election Day, the poll also points to the likelihood of complete Republican dominance of state government. Just as most recently from 2011-18, Republicans look set to hold the governor’s office and all three Cabinet posts, the poll shows.

how does the worlds look to a turnip?

Top White House official: DeSantis ‘is a divider’ (msn.com)

“He is a divider. He looks for places to go, divide the people of Florida, to try to line up one side against the other,” Dunn said at an event hosted by Axios. “That’s just very different from the way Joe Biden sees the world, and certainly very different from the way Joe Biden defines the role of president of the United States.”

Dunn, one of Biden’s longest-serving aides, argued that Biden believes in trying to unite the country, saying he ran for office in 2020 to “heal the soul of the nation,” unify the nation and rebuild the middle class.

Ron DeSantis' latest campaign mailer is shameless, even by his standards (msn.com)

The flier in question misstates that Biden’s student debt relief plan forces “hard working Floridians to pay back student loans for degrees like Gender Studies and French Poetry.”

DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw also helped popularize the bigoted “groomer” attack when she labeled the bill the “Anti-grooming bill,” drawing fierce criticism from LGBTQ activists.

President Biden responded to the legislation via Twitter in February, calling it nothing short of “hateful” and letting the LGBTQ community know “I have your back.”

And in June, on the first day of Pride month, DeSantis signed into law a bill banning transgender girls and women from competing on female sports teams at the high school and college level. He’s also continued to drum up his base by attacking trans athletes throughout his campaign.

If Trump can get overcome his own ego and stay out of 2024, DeSantis wins easily.

But attention whores have to be the center of attention

Why wouldn't Trump run? He has all the money, the polls show him far ahead of any Republican challenger (including DeSantis), and he's polling ahead of all Democratic challengers.  Annnnnd he's just spent the last two years campaigning and giving money to Republicans. He is single handedly remaking the Republican party.
