How do you propose the Israeli army get rid of an army that hides among the civilian population and is also supported by the civilian population ?

First off, I don't recognize Israel's right to eradicate Hamas with indifference to collateral damage on the civilian population.

Second, it's more than a stretch to call Hamas an army. It's a rag tag militia, at best.

Third, "support" is a fairly broad term here. It's not surprising that the civilian population likely prefers the arbiters of their humanitarian aid to their oppressors. That does not amount to material support, nor does it change the fact that they are a stateless people that have no legitimate government, no military, and no say in the decisions or continued existence of Hamas.

Moreover, you can't get around the fact that Israel played a pivotal role in assigning Hamas that position. Israel propped up and facilitated the funding of Hamas specifically for the purpose of keeping the Palestinians divided and stateless. (This is where cognitive dissonance usually goes into overdrive and the Israeli apologist goes silent, denies the facts, or offers some meaningless distinction). Dave Smith stated it perfectly in that clip that I posted that you responded to but refused to watch.

In short, you don't get to create your own emergency and then claim self-defense.

This rag tag army is well funded and well equipped.  They have rockets and only the iron dome prevents it from actual damage.

So why doesn’t the Palestinian population prefer Fatah? Are they oppressors as well?

Ah the famous Netanyahu was responsible for Hamas trope.  Of course was this also the case with the PLO? Did Israel cause the first and second intifada?

You also fail to acknowledge that Israel actually attempted to keep things calm by allowing Gaza and the population economic opportunity.  They did the same thing with hezbollah and the gas sharing agreement from a few years ago.  Where has that gotten them?

By the way, you were arguing months ago that Israel wanted to re-occupy Gaza ? How’s that prediction holding up?

You’re really out of your depth on this one.

Denial & deflection, just as predicted.

You deny the well established fact that Netanyahu was instrumental in putting Hamas in power, and greenlit their funding as recently as September of 2023. The fact that you can't argue within the confines of the established facts says it all.

That you think the citizens of Gaza have some meaningful say in whatever group is "in charge" is a clear indicator of who is out of his depth here.

The fact that you feel vindicated on the charge that the plan is to drive the Palestinians out of Gaza, given the current posture, and ongoing proposals of high ranking Israeli officials, to re-settle what's left of the Gazan population once they see fit to conclude the purge is absolutely laughable.

You remind me of the saying about playing chess with a pigeon.

So to recap:

1) Israel is responsible for everything Hamas does because Dave smith

2) Israel is a shitty ally, let’s go for a walk with one of the architects of terror.

Next up: ayatollah khomeini on why America is the great satan.

Which directly contradicts the reasoning given by everyone else, but that's how confirmation bias works.

Ad Hominem Fallacy

Ad hominem means “against the man,” and this type of fallacy is sometimes called name calling or the personal attack fallacy. An ad hominem fallacy occurs when someone attacks the person instead of attacking his or her argument. This approach can act as a method of discrediting an opponent or simply deflecting or avoiding the actual topic of discussion.

The guy posts the links that back up the claim, and your argument is that guy sucks so his links are bullshit.

You greatly overestimate your powers of deduction.

Most notably, you do not even attempt to disprove any of his allegations.

Have you verified those links? How sure are you that they are not full of bias ? You often quote sources that are anti Israel with no critical perspective but you swallow Hamas propaganda whole.

Perhaps they are. Darryl challenged anyone to point out where this guy's off base. He explicitly said that he was crowd sourcing the fact checks. If you're interested you can read through the comments or do your own research.

It's not like any position I have on this matter is dependent on that particular thread. It was just one I happened across while pulling another link. There's plenty more where that came from. That's barely touching the tip of the iceberg. We can go all the way back to Theodore Herzl. The story starts over a hundred years ago, and it's not one the Israelis want told. This idea that they are just an innocent peace loving people who have been under constant attack simply for having a different religion is an absolute farce. The  idea that they are a great ally to the U.S, with our best interests at heart, is equally absurd. And I can back all of it up.

If you have information that contradicts what I've learned I'm happy to hear it. One of the reasons I enjoy this forum is there are often people more knowledgeable than I who I can learn from. That doesn't really seem to be the case on this topic. The primary reaction seems an emotional one that has been manipulated by atrocity porn, most of which has proven false or unsubstantiated. I would have thought we were wise to that tactic after 9/11 and the ensuing emotional manipulation that led us into Afghanistan and Iraq, but that doesn't appear to be the case here. And as belief adhesion would have it, once a belief is formed, it persists despite the foundation upon which it was formed being discredited.

I'm not Jewish or Muslim. I don't have any particularly strong affection for either as a group, and as such, I have no dog in that fight. I'm only interested in the truth, and what's in the best interest of my people. I'm not terribly concerned about a Jewish ethnostate comprised of commies who think they're God's chosen people, take pride in being "the gayest country in the world," and keep conning my country into fighting and funding their wars while they live high on the hog.

And it is a little suspicious that every prominent Israeli/Jewish political advocacy organization, be it AIPAC, ADL, HIAS, SPLC, etc. has a strangle hold on our government and media, and are actively and undeniably pushing a far left anti-white, anti-Christian agenda. So yeah. &#%$ Israel.

 1) replacement theory

2) sourcing Hamas figureheads

I’m done here.  Good luck with your chess game.

This is about the time the WH starts to look even more ridiculous than before.

Everyone knows Hamas won't release the hostages. And when they don't, Rafah is in play.  But the campus commies won't be smart enough to understand this, so things are going to effin' brilliant on campuses this week.
