Ann
Aaron Rodgers, Robert Saleh and how the Jets’ season fell apart: ‘Something has to change’ </snip> “That’s a problem with the organization,” Rodgers said on “The Pat McAfee Show.” “We need to get to the bottom of whatever this is coming from and put a stop to it privately, because there’s no place in a winning culture … and this isn’t the only time. There’s been a bunch of other leaks.” That sent Saleh into a tailspin. The coach held a meeting with his staff two days later where he asked the leaker to reveal himself, according to multiple people in attendance. “If you come forward now, you won’t get in trouble,” he told them while threatening to take their cell phones. Staffers were bemused by Saleh’s obsession with the Wilson story and his reaction to it. </snip>
KD in CA
^ Good article. The only one in the whole building who doesn't come off even worse than you assumed is Zach Wilson!

What does it say that the NFL allows turf but an NFL stadium will acquiesce to FIFA and install natural grass. Only to return to turf again for the NFL players. It says exactly what we already knew the owners think about the players' health when they saved $10MM while decimating the Bills roster. If they weren't afraid they'd get sued into 2110 they'd still let guys get creamed like they were back in the '90's. (Don't believe they'd let guys get crushed like back in the 70's again, but pretty sure they'd love to have weekly highlights like Beebe gettting helicoptored or making a catch and landing square on the crown of his helmet.) NFL players get paid an obscene amount to shorten their life expectancy. Pretty sure the owners are, for the most part, ok with that bargain.

Like, someone pays you to turn your basement into a sports bar for a commercial, and then you remove everything after the commercial is shot. 1

ALL the stadiums that the WC was played had grass surfaces installed for the games that were played there. Most of the fields were already grass, but Giants Stadium and the Silverdome were both astroturf for NFL games at the time.

Still doesn't make sense, at least any more than it makes sense that the NFL has no problem shortening the lives of their star attractions. The fields absolutely need to be an issue. And why the players union doesn't make it more of an issue is curious at best. But I find it difficult to believe NFL stars are Elvis and Goodell and Owners are Colonel Parker.
