The current talk is that you'll need to get a vaccination every fall, like the flu.

So, it will be optional, like the flu shot?

Of course not.  COVID is a pandemic illness with a <1% case fatality rate among vulnerable population.  Completely unlike a pandemic illness with a <1% case fatality rate among vulnerable population, like the flu.

I'm guessing the league will re-impose mandates come August.

Maybe not.  The CDC, and even most blue states, are dropping a number of mandates, including mask/social distancing.  At the least, I am optimistic that the testing debacle will be heavily modified, if not eliminated.  If the covid farce largely goes away this spring and summer, the pointless NFL mandates could be a thing of the past.

It is amazing how covid wasn't an issue for the playoffs and SB.

covid sickness wasn't a problem during the season either

violating the useless protocols was the only issue

Yet NYS makes their Corrections Officers test weekly unless they are vaxed and Inmates have no requirements.

Kyrie Irving still can't play in NYC

so what entity has a vax mandate stopping Mel from attending

ESPN?

Las Vegas?

the NFL?

the venue?

what about the players?

Longtime ESPN-NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper, Jr. will forego attending the 2022 NFL Draft over his unvaccinated status. Kiper stated that being unvaccinated prohibits him from onsite reporting.

Thank you for finally not calling it "the jab."

He's a basketball player, so that makes sense.  As I understand it, the primary goal of NBA players is to play in as few NBA games as possible.
