Covid Thread - NFL Impacts

if only the jab worked, he may have a point

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/01/25/jim-irsay-has-a-possible-message-for-his-unvaccinated-players/

In a recent video shot from the tarmac outside his private jet, Irsay arguably was sending a message to those who weren’t all in to do whatever needed to be done to help the franchise’s chances, including the potential unavailability of a player due to stubborn refusal to get the COVID vaccine.

The fact that Irsay’s comments require deciphering shows how sensitive the issue currently is. Surely, he doesn’t want to alienate season-ticket holders who also may refuse to be vaccinated. But at least he’s trying, in his own way, to get people to understand that, like all other vaccines that humans have gotten to help protect and eradicate serious diseases from the population, this one should be embraced and not feared or shunned.

Forging a federal document, and forging a state document in NYS, is a felony.

The vaccination card is a federal document (note that they have the CDC logo on them) despite being issued/managed by the states, which makes me curious why this went through the Erie County DA. not the Western District Attorney.  I'm guessing the feds didn't want to be bothered with "felony fraudulent attending of a football game."

I’m waiting for the government to say they are going to tattoo your forehead to say you are vaccinated

permanent tattoo's are a problem, as one would be out of compliance in 3 months when the next booster is implemented

However, they can already track the MAC  code being generated by the nano-network in the jabbed bodies.

These people will go to court, and stand before a judge, and the judge will ask if they are fans of the Bills. The couple will say "yes," and the judge will throw the case out upon reasoning that the end of the KC game was punishment enough for everyone.

Thanks.

Might it be possession of a forged document? If so, would the first degree statute include CDC documentation?

Let's hope this is the end of it...

* Sills said he considered the NFL's COVID-19 response in 2021 "a success," especially after pivoting in mid-December in response to the omicron variant. A total of 1,224 players and staff tested positive between Dec. 12 and Jan. 8, but numbers dipped dramatically once the playoffs began. Sills attributed the drop to the high number of infections in December, as well as "significant self-regulation" by players and coaches during the most important weeks of the NFL season. Although the league stopped testing asymptomatic players, Sills said the drop "is not because we're not looking." He added: "We're still doing symptom screening on everyone, and we're still doing testing, but in a targeted manner."

* The league finished the year with 95% of its players and nearly 100% of staff members vaccinated. As a result, only one "member of the NFL family" was hospitalized during the season, Sills said. The league does not identify outcomes for specific individuals, but Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Dakota Dozier told ESPN that he spent three nights in a local hospital because of breathing problems after testing positive in November.

Worst bullshit double-talk I've ever heard.  They changed their testing criteria to exclude non-symptomatic people and make it more targeted, but imply they "were still looking" at the same rate?

Absolute, incontrovertible bullshit.  Richard Feynman is rolling over in his grave.

Aren't we done yet???
The NFL scouting combine just informed draft prospects they’ll be in a “bubble” in secure locations next month in Indianapolis, with limited exceptions: “Players who violate this policy at any time will be disqualified from further participation and sent home.” From the memo:

So, unless people are boostered, they aren't fully vaccinated?

Interesting.

Interesting.

all those with 2 jabs are sent to the back of the bus with the unvaxxed.

too bad their immune systems are now compromised on top of the jab not stopping covid or anything else

so who of the jabbed contingent is getting the booster to get back into covid compliance?

The current talk is that you'll need to get a vaccination every fall, like the flu.

Wouldn't be surprised at that.

And just as soon as they complete the studies of the LT effects of the vaccines & start targeting the boosters towards whatever happens to be the current strains rather than the one running rampant 2 years ago might begin to consider that option.
