In the brief time we shared together, there was no forum I turned to more than the previous (as a political outlet of sorts).  Then, after a passing in my family and a brief reprieve, I saw that one of the most respected posters I’ve come across was unfairly banned.  Then I found the “shout box” and was shocked by some of the conversations  by the moderators of the board.  I honestly had no idea the magnitude of bias there.  I’m truly sorry to those that lost what they contributed to that forum.  But as non-condescending as I can be, I’m beyond proud of those of you who took the punch to the chin and used it to bring this forum to life.  Very proud to be a part of what you all have built.

Im more subdued in general these days. 
 

Im a flawed human being. I’m very honest about my flaws and I identify them and consistently work on them. 
 

My two greatest heroes are Churchill and Caesar. Churchill would have liked my commitment to my principals but he’d have found me to be a jackass in how I dealt with my issues. 
 

Caesar would ridicule me for allowing others to use my emotions to control me so easy. Calculated SOB that one. 
 

I’m my biggest critic. It honestly kinda sucks....I come off as cocky but it’s confidence. But I’m always second guessing and critiquing myself. I mean I am HARD on myself. 
 

Anyways....as the domestic situation deteriorates I realized that while I love doing war things...(I truly will do them, but I do not want to.) I do not wish to see American political violence which I fear could come really real, really soon. Because of that, I have been working to soften my rhetoric to explain my positions in hopes of getting across my message that I’m almost out of runway. 
 

........now I’m really rambling. By runway I mean they’re taking away our first amendment. They want to mandate dress codes. The unconstitutional house arrest in the name of a virus that hardly kills anybody....the persistent threat to take away my guns....(I didn’t own guns till I became a conservative and the reason I own them now is I believe it’s my civic duty to be one of the Americans with a rifle behind every blade of grass if need be.)
 

......I’m upset because it’s social media and the MSM diluting the public with disingenuous and false information to push public opinion left. That’s the source of this domestic conflict. 
 

I like shooting. I like things blowing up. I love the American way of war. But I got 3 kids. And I’ve seen a civil war in Iraq.....first hand. And I don’t want my kids exposed to that...or anybody really for that matter  Awful thing. 

 

...so I’m trying to articulate my views on what America is, what it means to me, and my political views shaped by Americas history....I’m hoping to change just a couple minds and maybe a couple votes. And to do that, it helps to be less of a jackass.

I feel your pain. I have had 2 different hot water heaters overflow to wood areas. Also, have a beach house where rot and rust are the MO. I am retired but his constant maintenance is starting to get to old.

I agree with this policy and philosophy as long as bullshit posters get the old heave ho quickly. We can certainly put up with one or two people like Tiberius but BillStime, Gary & Bull Buchanan type of posting would just make this place like the other place.
