COVID-19 Viruses and Vaccines

Good news. Apparently Covid knows to leave you alone when it's an emotional and historic day.

So make every day emotional and historic, and you don't need to wear a mask.

Through out this entire 2 + years this virus has proven how intelligent it is. Can't get you in a restaurant as long as you are sitting down eating etc.etc.

It also doesn't go through land borders but sticks around on a plane which is why Canadians need to show a covid test when flying to the states but not when driving.

Apparently someone forgot to tell Philadelphia that the mask mandates were not supposed to return until AFTER the mid-terms.

A FINAL REPORT CARD ON THE STATES’ RESPONSE TO COVID-19
NATIONAL BUREAU OF ECONOMIC RESEARCH
Phil Kerpen
Stephen Moore
Casey B. Mulligan

States that did the worst during covid:

New Jersey
DC (ok, so not a state but listed at 50 with an F-)
New York
New Mexico
California
Illinois also got an F.

The Relationship Between Mortality, Education, and Economy Scores
Excluding the geographically unusual cases of Hawaii and Alaska to focus on the continental U.S., there is no apparent
relationship between reduced economic activity during the pandemic and our composite mortality measure.

Education
School closures may ultimately prove to be the most costly policy decision of the pandemic era in both economic and
mortality terms. One study found that school closures at the end of the previous 2019-2020 school year are
associated with 13.8 million years of life lost. An NIH analysis found that life expectancy for high school graduates is 4
to 6 years longer than high school dropouts. The OECD estimates that learning losses from pandemic era school
closures could cause a 3% decline in lifetime earnings, and that a loss of just one third of a year of learning has a
long-term economic impact of $14 trillion.

Unlike mortality or economic outcomes, closing public schools was entirely under the control of policymakers. Almost
all private schools were open.

This ranking and map from the tracking company Burbio show the cumulative share of in-person instruction in each
state, with part-time hybrid schedules counting at half weight.

But if they don't return until after the midterms, how can they justify all those extra mail in ballots?

Setting the groundwork to save some PA Congressional seats and pickup a Senate seat

Excellent point. I forgot the value of lockdowns for Dems when it comes to voting.

"One week education period."

Anyone who needs education on wearing a mask at this point deserves to get sick.

What thorough retards.

Wife and I went away to the Outer Banks for a few days on a mini vacation. Elevator in our second stop had "please social fistance while on elevator" signs on the elevator doors. My guess was the elevator was 5x9.

Yesterday my husband was turning left into a parking lot across a busy street (Transit for the locals).

A car going straight on the other side of the road was going about 20mph taking its sweet old time when at the last second the driver decided to turn on the blinker and make a right into the same parking lot.

I expected an elderly person, but nope. It was some 30 year-old guy wearing a mask inside his car, driving a Prius.

I looked at my husband and we both started to laugh. It was so many stereotypes, it sounds like I am making it up, but nope. Completely ridiculous, and yet…

I still see this as well. I guess they’re afraid that the air from the outside will get in through the vent and infect them ?

gotta keep the fear porn rolling

Joe Rogan Has Learned Absolutely Nothing, Continues To Push COVID-19 Misinformation on Spotify Podcast (msn.com)

Maher went on to proclaim that there’s no way of knowing if the COVID-19 vaccine is safe, while Rogan pointed to the “insane” profits that pharmaceutical companies make off of vaccines. And while big pharma is no one’s hero, I do wonder who Rogan thinks he’s giving his money to when he stocks up on hydroxychloroquine and the other unproven treatments he’s constantly pushing.

So if you were wondering if Joe Rogan and/or Spotify had made any meaningful changes to their most dangerous content following an intense period of public criticism, the answer is obviously no.

The new Omicron XE version has all of the bells and whistles you would expect from a world class death plague

Mask up as Omicron XE is on its way, says medical body (msn.com)

Symptoms of Omicron XE are reported to be mostly mild, but we will need to look at the data as it evolves.

Despite the downward trend of Omicron cases, experts have warned that the Omicron XE could be well on its way to Malaysia, what more with the borders reopened.

As BA.2 Continues Rapid Northeast Rise, Here Are COVID Symptoms to Watch For (msn.com)

"So this is the same virus, so SARS Coronavirus 2, so we're seeing the same symptoms," he said.

Still, NBC News reported symptoms associated with BA.2 seem to largely mirror a small number of symptoms commonly reported in omicron infections. Those include:

  • Cough
  • Fatigue
  • Congestion
  • Runny Nose
