Being fired is far different than the district taking care of that shitbag by giving them some other role involving kids. She's not always accurate. None of them are. I've seen some wild headlines where a quick read in no way resembles the inflammatory headline. Nevertheless, she is doing generally good work kicking over hornets nests.

Ann
I think they need to make these laws, not guidelines so they can arrest these school district heads: Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears of Virginia said Tuesday that school boards who defied parental rights policies were “making themselves judge and jury.” “These are the same school boards who were against the governor’s executive orders to get rid of the masks because that’s what the parents wanted, and they are now in violation of Virginia law and the governor and the attorney general will be making a decision on the next process forward,” Sears told “America Reports” co-hosts Sandra Smith and John Roberts. “But these policies, they are not controversial at all.” The Fairfax County Public School District announced Aug. 15 they would not follow new state guidelines that require schools to inform parents on issues surrounding gender identity and bullying. Alexandria City Public School also announced it would not adopt a policy according to the guidance. </snip>

Well...because a very small number of people have threatened board members with violence, it's clear that anyone who disagrees with board members is also guilty of violent threats. Under Georgia's interpretation of RICO, of course.

Ann
Controversy erupts in Jefferson County after the teachers union tells educators to destroy evidence of student surveys regarding gender identity </snip> Some parents in Jefferson County say teachers are breaking state and federal laws and their union is helping them get away with it. At issue are student surveys about gender identity. While the school district says it's unclear whether surveys about students' preferred pronouns are illegal, there are several lawsuits regarding the issue. So, administrators told teachers - just don't go there. The teachers union told them something else. An email from Jefferson County Education Association (JCEA) to teachers says, "if you do a questionnaire, please make it a paper and pencil activity - any digital records are more permanent and may be requested under federal law." The union also encouraged teachers to "make your notations about students and not hold on to the documents." </snip>

Ann
Biden nixed goal of getting kids back to school post-COVID to avoid conflict with teachers' union boss: book'[Biden] was, in effect, conceding that for thousands of students, the rest of the school year would be lost to the pandemic,' Franklin Foer writes </snip> The Atlantic writer Franklin Foer's latest book, "The Last Politician," revealed that Biden had cut the administration's goal after meeting with American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten. "For the sake of avoiding conflict, especially conflict with an ally, the Biden administration trimmed its goal of returning kids to school to a fraction of what had been promised on the campaign trail," Foer wrote. "The announcement came as an aside in a press conference," he continued. "Jen Psaki explained that Biden had really meant that he wanted more than half of the pre-K-to-8 schools to attend at least one in-person session a week by the end of his first hundred days." NEA's headquarters is on 16th and M, two blocks from the White House. AFT's HQ is at F Street and New Jersey, two blocks from Congress. Those are not coincidences. Nor is it a coincidence that they spend upwards of 80% of their budgets on lobbying. Why would anyone be surprised Biden bends over for them? He's been doing it for more than 40 years? 1
