Launch angle baseball sucks.  Does anyone in the world think Tony Gwynn wouldn't be one of the highest paid players today, playing exactly the same way he  did during his career?

Fortunately being a Bills fan has taught me to never expect good things, so really not at all fazed by the Mets losing their closer in an exhibition game dog pile.  I'm sure he'll be fine by 2025.

I can’t see the picture.  What is it?

I can't refind it, but it was a meme showing how tony Gwynn struck out less in his career than many players have in a season

Here's another.

More 4 hit games than multi strikeout games.  I mean…..seriously?

The garbage MLB umpires are in midseason form.

"Preceding this there was a pitch clock violation that the Phillies seemingly took issue with, so perhaps Rosenberg was just a little overzealous to prove himself."

It was a different feel to the game watching Spring Training - batters get rung up for taking too long or getting 1st base for pitchers taking too long.

Who is the Realmuto character anyway?  😁

A’s pitchers walked 17 Mets (+ two hit batters) is what had to be the most pathetic display I’ve ever seen from professionals outside the Johnnie Manziel-led Browns.

3 different pitchers had 4+ walk innings.   Guys routinely missing the plate by 6-12”.  Unbelievable.  It’s gonna be ugly in Oakland this season.

I bet their new ballpark on The Strip is gonna be awesome.

And Oakland will have extra money to buy new tents for bums after the next big storm.   Win/Win!!

I lived in the South Bay during the "Bash Brothers" days.  You could ride the metro right to the stadium, walk across the foot bridge, and sit in the bleachers for nothing with a military ID.  I watched a lot of VERY, VERY good baseball in that stadium.  It was must see stuff.

It bums me out that they &#%$ing suck so bad now.

Cool story that happens somewhat regularly in baseball.

I was at PNC park yesterday.  Bucs won 2 - 0 over the Reds.

I don't know why they just didn't put him in defensively in the 9th, but . . . . . . . . .

(It was cold)

The only alum from my high school to play in the major leagues debuted when he was over 30 after playing over 10+ years in the minor leagues. He got to play 2 years in the majors.

This has to make it all worth it.  Awesome.

Especially because it is more than likely that he is being sent back down to Double A today.

I wish that I could have been there.

55 year old Joe Dimaggio takes batting practice in an empty yankee stadium.

Look at that swing !
