There's so much other stuff going on in the news cycle and world in general, it's easy to miss how the tone and tenor of these stories have changed over just the past 4-5 years. For decades, discussion of this topic was limited to witness statements from civilians or military personnel who were usually years, if not decades, removed from their post and/or the event, making them easy for "official" channels to dismiss or ignore the reports.

Any media coverage of the topic was accompanied by a laugh track, X-Files music, and lots of tongue-in-cheek one liners. This was the SOP for decades

But now?

Now we are getting consistent drips from the halls of Congress, the executive branch, and the USN themselves showing that there is real conversations going on about this subject. Not one-off conversations done for the cameras and some light press - but serious hearings, open and classified, while more and more "established" politicians and military personnel are speaking openly and publicly about it all. It's gotten to the point even "serious" media outlets are covering the phenomenon with a serious eye, not just for laughs.

From 2000-20017 the temperature on this whole topic changed, largely from years of Hollywood making bank off the subject and "normalizing" it to some degree. The majority of the population was open to the idea that we're not alone, and open to the possibility that some visitation has taken place. This was a marked change from the 1980s-1990s where public polling on this topic was well under the 50% mark.

Then, in 2017 when the USG and USN officially declared there are real craft of unknown origin operating daily in our skies, the entire subject was moved from the giggle-bin to the serious topic bin. The number of people who think there's real meat on the bone of this subject has only grown.  There's been a clear increase in how seriously this topic is being taken, and how it's being rolled out to the public.

... Almost like there's a clock on it.

Almost like the governments of the world have been told they must come clean now before... well, before there's no way to deny it. I heard way back in 2017 that the window for such an event was 2021-2027 - and here we are smack in the middle of that timetable.

You do realize that if they truly had advanced alien tech in their possession, they wouldn't be leaking the info because they'd be using it against us...

That's actually not an example of Schrodinger's cat...which was a thought experiment concerning observability collapsing superposition of states, not of superposition of states itself.

Basically, if they're observing both states, they're not superimposed, by definition.

This is making the rounds. Multiple witnesses, multiple pictures and videos from both civilian and military types. I haven't dug very deep, but my first thought is that if it was truly of another world, it wouldn't be hanging around with its lights on for so long over a military base. This, if real, is more likely one those things we've built (with your money) that we pretend we haven't...

So a black triangle with lights about the size as a Stealth Bomber was spotted a few miles away from where they're doing the initial testing of the new B-21 Raider?

Good heavens...what ever could it be?  :classic_laugh:

There was also a live training exercise ongoing at the time and some are saying it's flares related to that. Of course the original article has military witnesses saying they ruled out flares while observing the event in real time sooooooo.... (shrug).

I was about to say "those ain't flares."

Then it occurred to me: I have no idea what a flare (which probably has a bright - or brighter - IR signature than visible light) looks on a consumer-grade CMOS camera in a phone.  So just judging by the image, they could be flares.  Or not.  Can't tell.

The perils of doing photo-analysis on the internet: a lot of shit looks different when you're snapping its picture.

And don't forget: witnesses are also idiots.

This story will be all over the MSM this week, and likely longer. It's important to remember that the DoD approved his comments for release. I'll leave it to you to figure out if that's comforting or not.

"Quite a number" - of different species' craft have been recovered.

"Calling them 'spacecraft' might be misleading.." (a sign that these are interdimensional? or a sign that they don't travel through space in the conventional sense, thus getting around the speed limit?)

Gotta be portals...interdimensional for sure. That's way scarier than space traveling beings.

That dude sounded pretty convincing on the 9-11 call, the operator cracked me up though with her response once he says it looks like aliens. Her: "...Okay."
