Whoa...

Yep.

Schoen said that in an interview right after his press conference.

Said he's got to upgrade the line.

Teams who may be looking for a QB in 2022:

AFC East:

--none  NOTE: Trubisky will be available.

AFC North:

--Cleveland (do they keep Mayfield)?

--Pittsburgh

AFC South:

--Indianapolis (Wentz might shake loose)

--Houston (Watson needs to clear some hurdles before anyone sniffs him)

AFC West:

--Raiders (Carr is an UFA I think)

--Denver (Bridgewater on the move again?)

NFC East:

--Washington somebodyorothers need a competent QB

NFC North:

--none  NOTE: the Bears have two experienced backups somebody might want

NOTE ALSO: Green Bay may be in search of QB help if the douche leaves for another team

NFC South:

--Tampa Bay (Brady seems 50/50 but his cap # will kill the Bucs for a year)

--New Orleans (will they stay with Winston and Hill? -- probably)

--Atlanta (Ryan is OLD)

--Carolina (what happens to Darnold?)

NFC West:

--49ers are perpetually getting rid of Garoppolo -- but they may stick with Lance

--Seahags (Wilson appears to be on the move)

AFC East:

- I agree with none, but should Miami be looking?

AFC North:

- Cleveland - he's back next year. It is beyond 2022 that is the question.

AFC South:

- Houston - The Watson 💩 show continues.  Will he play there if the women are paid and there is no long suspension?

NFC South:

Most interesting as it can be argued that if Brady retires, all the teams are looking. In the land of the blind, does that make Darnold the one eyed man?

NFC West:

- 49ers - All Jimmy G does is win.  And he's pretty. Leave him alone.

I'm guessing he watched the AFC Championship game and realized that it's going to be almost impossible to win another Superbowl.

Or he sees a coaching opportunity rising?

Why would he want to go through the ordeal that's coaching?

He's set for life & his wife has more money than God.  Our luck, he'll go into broadcasting.

Fitzy?  He is a UFA, though also 40 year old next season.

No. Fitz as a backup simply means Josh will get hurt and miss significant time.

That is an excellent point.  I just remembered this gem:
