Life threatening cold weather over the winter time? Is this proof of global warming?

And I will say it again, a degree or 2 increase IS NOT going to melt the poles as it will still be well below freezing, and what right does anyone have to tell people they can't be a couple degrees warmer, especially in winter?

The &#%$tard NPCs have been directed to believe that the world will end, that climate is somehow static, and that we must combat global cooling warming climate change solely through radical wealth redistribution.

They don't actually realize that their interpretation of climate is firmly rooted in Genesis: the environment is static and unchanging, and we're the appointed stewards of it.

"But climatology is not religion!"

Winter Storm Elliott? Blizzard? Bomb cyclone? What happened to calling it 'weather'? (msn.com)

We’re encouraging forecasters and meteorologists alike to steer clear of “snowpocalypse” and “snowmageddon.” Though excellent terms, they’ve grown a bit tired.

Instead, we suggest the following new creations: “Snowlamity!”; “Squalltastrophe!”; and “Windchillaclysm!”

All the best weather terms are produced in a lab

What, did you think your local meteorologist came up with “snowmageddon”? Puh-lease. We spent years developing that term in the ICEWeT Lexicon Laboratory, where a team of the world’s sharpest linguists and etymologists devote their lives to producing the best possible words to describe extreme weather events that often don’t turn out to be all that bad.

I assume you’ve heard of “snowpocalypse”? That was ours. It came out in the 2000s after getting hung up in peer review in the late 1990s. Great term. Definitely one of our best.

This winter storm gives us the gift of inspiration

And now, like an early Christmas present, we have a blizzard that could become a bomb cyclone (another one of our terms!), set to bring snow and wind and rain and all manner of thrilling things to towns and cities from coast to coast. Your holiday hassle is our muse!

"Bomb cyclone" is actually a true meteorological term that dates back to the 1970's.

It wasn't created as a sensationalist term...just adopted as one, because bombs are scary.

Of course they're worthless. These 'offsets' are nothing more than PR.

That gives me an idea, though.

It takes a special combination of hubris and willful ignorance to claim you 'saved' a rainforest from theoretical destruction.....and did so by generating some extra carbon.

I work with people who are trying to create real carbon markets that require farmers be paid to plant new cover crops that sequester carbon into the soil.  As you can imagine, trying to figure out how to measure and monitor that is an enormous challenge.  Any yahoo can do the 'trading credits' crap.
