And his redemption moment was shooting someone else.

I watched this last week for the 5th or 6th time.

 

Kung Fu Hustle.  Brilliantly funny and even touching emotional moments.

 

Over the top violent fight scenes enhanced with cgi and a hysterical Loony Tunes inspired chase scene.  You can watch for free on Tubi or Youtube with short commercials for free.

 

Subtitles in engrish.

Just saw it.  I really couldn't tell you what it was about, except Tom Cruise being nuts for two-plus hours.  Wife asked me before we went what it was about, I told her "Tom Cruise running and riding a motor cycle without a helmet." (And of course he did.)  Still worth the theater viewing..

 

Begins with a thank you to the audience from McQuarrie and Cruise, too.  That's why he's the Last of the Movie Stars.  You'd never see that with a Disney movie.

 

Also...not just an action movie, but some good acting.  There was a scene where Ferguson, Atwell, and Cruise are communicating a hell of a lot with subtle facial expressions.  Cruise has become so much of a caricature of himself at this point (see: running and helmetless motorcycle riding) that it's easy to forget that he's a really good actor.

Harry Potter meets Alita Battle Angel meets Escape from LA.

Harry subscribes to an extreme streaming fight or die reality show. Some how he pisses off the creator and wakes up with his hands permanently bolted to a pair of guns and a killer assigned to hunt him down and kill him live on the streaming service.

Humorous take on how he handles opening doors, putting on pants and using his cell phone without accidentally shooting himself or others.

Stupid premise, unbelievable gun play and ridiculous bad guys.

WGA Response to Studios Indicates No Quick End to Strike

The two sides remain at odds on items across the board, including streaming residuals and a higher minimum tier for TV writer-producers.

 

Multiple studio sources had been optimistic that the AMPTP’s latest offer would mark a breakthrough in the talks. But WGA negotiators had counseled caution, warning members not to trust studio leaks suggesting that a deal was at hand.

The WGA wants to tie streaming residuals to the popularity of a show, but streamers had adamantly refused to share such viewership data. The latest offer from the AMPTP, however, included a proposal to share the number of hours each show is viewed, though writers’ compensation would not be tied to that figure. The WGA continues to stand by its original proposal, raising questions about whether “hours” would be the correct metric to use, rather than views.

Watching this again.  Tim Conway's timing is pristine - every time the cast starts to get it back together, he jumps in with more details.

I can guess.  Robin Williams.

 

Williams was huge fan of Winters, and hugely influenced by him.
