In this draft simulation, I see the options for Beane as five-fold:

  • Get your light but athletic OT Eichenberg for the pin-and-pull;
  • Add speedy, receiving RB/Returner Etienne;
  • Trade Down for Marvin Wilson, Ossai, or Trey Smith;
  • Take Ojulari, an undersized, average-speed EDGE rusher from a 3-4;
  • Draft the undersized CB, ASJ instead of Iffy or Wade.

Four-round 2021 NFL mock draft 2.0

He has the Bills trading pick #30 to the Falcons.

Round 1: The Bills are in a prime position to trade out of Thursday night's proceedings because of their solid roster; they receive a fourth-round pick from the Falcons in the deal and will likely send back a late fifth-round selection in return because it's only a five-spot move.

Round 2 (61):  Elijah Molden Washington · CB · Senior

Round 3 (93):  Wyatt Davis Ohio State · OG · Junior (RS

Round 4 (108, from Falcons): Tre' McKitty Georgia · TE · Senior

I hope they draft Trey McKitty, if for no other reason than to give @4merper4mer more fodder.

I'm absolutely NO mock expert, but am I the only one who questions the idea of the Bills trading out of 30 to move down five spots in exchange for a fourth? I'm sure there is some website with a formula that grades this as a positive thing, but it just doesn't seem worth it...especially if they have to give back a fifth.

The 5th year option is worth more than a 4th.

WAKE FOREST • SR • 6'5" / 285 LBS
Mario Addison was tied for the team lead with five sacks and while there are also needs at linebacker and along the offensive line, Basham, who had a strong 2020 season for Wake Forest, has the talent to upgrade the unit on Day 1.

With the 2021 NFL Draft almost here, a look back at the best No. 30 overall picks

<snip>

This year, the AFC runners-up Buffalo Bills hold the pick. But who struck gold using it in years past? Check it out below.

Note: Some picks that were not originally first-rounders may be included, as the NFL has expanded since the draft began in 1936. For example, the 32nd overall pick was considered a second-rounder until 2002.

</snip>

5. OLB T.J. Watt
4. LB Keith Bulluck
3. CB Eric Allen
2. WR Reggie Wayne
1. LB Sam Huff

Will be interesting to see how Rousseau tests, he's one of the biggest question marks of the whole class since he opted out and no one has seen him.

:popcorn:

Aaaaannnd - Phillips had himself a day. He made a lot of money. Rousseau checked the right boxes but didn’t (seem to) elevate himself as much as some expected, but I haven’t seen any video yet of drills.

Do we want this guy?

He's a little light (215), but he's exceptionally athletic and makes plays all over the field.   Every mock I've seen has him gone before #30.

I'm very curious to see what the BILLS do if a number of dudes are still on the board in the mid-20s.

I think the odds are good they move up 5-10 spots, rather than down. The right CB or edge rusher slips and they pull the trigger I think — likely wouldn’t for any other position baring a miracle slide of Pitts or something crazy.
