He's been calling the defense since his rookie season he is a valuable player

If I remember correctly, Lorax called the D when he was on the field in Edmunds first two seasons.

When Lorax retired, I remember them making a big deal about how Edmunds, only 22 at the time, was taking the role over full time.

In his rookie season it was almost exclusively Lorax, and then in his second year he started getting to make the calls.

Player development. It’s a cornerstone of The process. It’s what The Bills do. And we’ve never seen anything quite like it and on such a scale in this franchise.

He improved vastly in my opinion this season.

He still hits the wrong hole too much for my tastes but I agree, he has improved greatly this year.

How much do you think Edmunds expects?  If he is wanting Roquan Smith or Shaq Leonard money...bye.  I personally think he should be moved outside as he cannot process MLB responsibilities.

He wants as much as he can get.

I don’t think he can handle MLB responsibilities either.

under the Frazier D, we don't have an "outside" LB

kill 2 birds with one stone.

fire Frazier and his scheme

move Edmunds outside and use him to blitz to improve the pressure issue

find an instinctive MLB who doesn't have to be superman

My opinion is that he handles pre-snap responsibilities very well and that should not be taken for granted.  Post snap, I agree.

big problem going forward is going to be their special teams model

you can't have rookie LBs inactive every week and pay Matekevich $7 mil to only play special teams

rookie LBs need to be on special teams to save the roster spots and cap room

Wondering if Allen's deal forces them to not have as many ST specialists as his bump in pay will come out of some other part of the cap.
