LB Dorian Williams as a Sophomore in 2020. I know it is highlight film. 4-6th round grade

I'll post more film shortly.

Things I like.

1) Solid against the run, knifes through the line and wraps up

2) Comfortable playing zone, look at him lined up multiple times vs the slot

3) lays the lumber, you will see the devastating shoulder tackle from a zone cover read

4) gets off of blocks and makes tackles, he fights off a double team (ahem)

5) in pass plays he recognizes when there is no one in his zone and blitzes the passer forcing the QB to make a decision

Dorian Williams continued.

A lot of these plays are against big boy teams. USC/ Oklahoma etc.

His goal line stuff was in the 4th QTR, then that led to a Safety the next play.

That was a huge 4th quarter play and Tulane ended up winning the game. (Cotton Bowl)

Played last year with #2 jersey

Full game film of UCF (7-2) offense vs Tulane (8-1) defense.

This is a better way to look at a player.

#2 is Williams.

The good

1 tipped pass

1.5 Forced fumbles

he got better as the game went on. A lot of good tough tackles late in the game

lined up all over

Used a lot on blitzes and run blitzes

seemed to fill his hole most times, but may have misdiagnosed

UCF was determined to get an OL on him often...

He fought off some blocks, held his ground on others and got washed a few times.

I see a guy who could be an Bobby Okereke (wanted him in FA if Edmunds walked), or with McDermott be another Milnao type block of clay. Would be fine having 2 of those LB types if the DL just gets big and ugly up front.

Not a round 1-3 guy, but late 4th to 5th....

Senior Bowl interview: (from Saints reporters, Tulane is from New Orleans)

I don't know what people expect the team to say before the draft.  If you say "we expect to pick up our next MLBer in the draft"...you're basically telling everyone who is in the market for the top guys to do what it takes to get in front of you to get the guy they like.

The secondary effect is obviously instilling confidence in the guys currently on your roster that they need to have a big offseason because they have a chance to get more PT.

not sure it really matters

with Edmunds, the hundred million $ man, they could not stop any of the top offenses more than 1 or 2 times per game.

all of this angst over losing and replacing Edmunds for losing at most 1 stop a game

easier way to get more stops is to play way more aggressive on the DL and with press coverage

stop giving 15 yd cushions on 3rd and 10

add to the offense and out score everyone

force the other team not to make any mistakes

no pressure to overdraft Campbell

If a team took Campbell in the top 10, it still wouldn’t be overdrafting.

Remember, it’s bullshit season. Teams are happy to pretend that Campbell’s draft grade hasn’t drastically improved since his Combine more than matched his elite level tape, when the only thing holding him to a second round grade was a perceived lack of elite athleticism.

I want them to *trade up* for Campbell. I don’t think he’ll be there at 27.

Great stuff.  I cannot wait to see the defense with a more instinctive player next to Milano (and a different playcaller).

Ramon Humber? I swear my memory is not that bad, but I draw a total blank on that guy. The guy who replaced him though? He's great!

3rd on the team in combined tackles, behind Preston Brown and Jordan Poyer.

I wouldn't know him from Liza Minnelli.  I have no recollection of him. I googled "Ramon Humber highlights" and I got one play.
