Ann
Why would you hack a football team? Ransomware Gang Says it Has Hacked 49ers Football Team The San Francisco 49ers have been hit by a ransomware attack, with cyber criminals claiming they stole some of the football team's financial data. The ransomware gang BlackByte recently posted some of the purportedly stolen team documents on a dark web site in a file marked "2020 Invoices." The gang did not make any of its ransom demands public or specify how much data it had stolen or encrypted. The team, which is among the most valuable and storied franchises in the NFL and lost a close playoff game two week ago, said in a statement Sunday that it recently became aware of a “network security incident" that had disrupted some of its corporate IT network systems. The 49ers said they'd notified law enforcement and hired cybersecurity firms to assist. </snip>

Ransomware Gang Says it Has Hacked 49ers Football Team I can think of two reasons Obviously, an NFL franchise is a multimillion dollar operation with deep pockets. Secondly, the Redskins email scandal and Gruden fallout have shown that NFL franchises may have some dirt to up the ransom

Thanks 🙂

It’s one of my pet peeves. OJ is still the ONLY runner who broke 2,000 yards in 14 games FOURTEEN games. Dickerson was feted to the moon for “breaking” that record. He didn’t. He DID NOT.

Sounds like he was smart enough to use his personal cell phone, not his work phone, to take the pictures or videos. Maybe a little less smart was his decision to take upskirt shots of the owner's daughter, while part of a live streamed event! If your team has a voyeurism problem, the obvious solution is . . . to install cameras! 😮 Which the Cowboys did.
