Michele Tafoya, a longtime NFL sideline reporter for NBC, on Monday announced that she will serve as co-chair of Kendall Qualls's gubernatorial bid in Minnesota.

Tafoya, who worked her final NFL game Sunday at the Super Bowl, said it was her “decision” top step away from reporting and move into politics as Qualls, a businessman and Army veteran, runs for the Republican gubernatorial nomination in Minnesota.

Why would you hack a football team?

Ransomware Gang Says it Has Hacked 49ers Football Team

The San Francisco 49ers have been hit by a ransomware attack, with cyber criminals claiming they stole some of the football team's financial data.

The ransomware gang BlackByte recently posted some of the purportedly stolen team documents on a dark web site in a file marked "2020 Invoices." The gang did not make any of its ransom demands public or specify how much data it had stolen or encrypted.

The team, which is among the most valuable and storied franchises in the NFL and lost a close playoff game two week ago, said in a statement Sunday that it recently became aware of a “network security incident" that had disrupted some of its corporate IT network systems. The 49ers said they'd notified law enforcement and hired cybersecurity firms to assist.

I can think of two reasons

Obviously, an NFL franchise is a multimillion dollar operation with deep pockets.

Secondly, the Redskins email scandal and Gruden fallout have shown that NFL franchises may have some dirt to up the ransom

16 games plus playoffs.

Impressive nonetheless. He’s great at gaining yards after the catch.

ok, so 1947 (regular season) - 118 (game 17) = 1829  (16 games) Great, but not quite what I thought.

Thanks 🙂

Did he get 450 yards in that 17th game?  Looks like 118 yards, so 2307 yards in 16 games.

It’s one of my pet peeves. OJ is still the ONLY runner who broke 2,000 yards in 14 games FOURTEEN games. Dickerson was feted to the moon for “breaking” that record. He didn’t. He DID NOT.

Jerry Rice scored 22 TDs in a strike-shortened 12 game season.  It might be the most impressive feat in NFL history.

And several 3 TD games, but never more.  Incredible consistency.

 Adrian Peterson Arrested for DV

Law enforcement sources tell us the ex-Vikings running back was arrested and booked for felony domestic violence Sunday at LAX -- this after airport police got a call at about 8:30 AM over a disturbance on an aircraft leaving LAX and attempting to take off en route to Houston.

We're told the plane actually had to turn around and link up with the gate again after an apparent verbal and physical altercation between a man and woman.

</snip>

A rep for Adrian and Ashley tells TMZ ... "Earlier today Adrian and his wife Ashley had a verbal argument on a flight, and he was removed from the plane. This is a private misunderstanding between husband and wife and we anticipate it will all be resolved shortly."

Sources familiar with the case also tell us ... Adrian is due to be released from custody soon.

Longtime NFL RB Adrian Peterson will not face felony charge after domestic violence arrest, per report

Peterson was reportedly detained at Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday

Law enforcement informed TMZ that the 36-year-old running back, last seen in a brief stint with the Seahawks in 2021, was booked at LAX after airport police received a morning call reporting a disturbance on an aircraft. Peterson was reportedly attempting to remove his wife's wedding ring, which led to the incident. The case will be sent to the Los Angeles City Attorney, which could still bring misdemeanor domestic violence charges against Peterson.

Peterson and his wife have since acknowledged a verbal altercation in a statement to TMZ, via a spokesperson: "Earlier today, Adrian and his wife Ashley had a verbal argument on a flight, and he was removed from the plane. This is a private misunderstanding between husband and wife and we anticipate it will all be resolved shortly."

Sounds like he was smart enough to use his personal cell phone, not his work phone, to take the pictures or videos. Maybe a little less smart was his decision to take upskirt shots of the owner's daughter, while part of a live streamed event!

If your team has a voyeurism problem, the obvious solution is . . . to install cameras! 😮 Which the Cowboys did.
