I was a junior pitching varsity at Corvallis when I committed the ultimate sin and walked this hot shot freshman, Larry Reynolds* , on 4 pitches. This speedster takes a HUGE lead off first thinking he was stealing 2nd base. I took a look at the space between him and the bag and picked him off easily for the next out. Larry went on to have a pretty good minor league career. (*younger brother of Donnie, older brother of Harold) 1
