It’s time to call Odell Beckham Jr. after Bills fall to 0-2 in division following 20-17 loss to Jets (Report card)

WIDE RECEIVER/TIGHT END: C-

Stefon Diggs was terrific on Sunday with 93 yards receiving on five receptions. He would have gone over 100 yards on the day had it not been for a holding call on the final drive of the game.

The rest of Buffalo’s receivers did little in the loss.

Gabe Davis had an early drop on a third down play that he absolutely needs to come down with. The final play of the game was even worse. Josh Allen delivered a great deep ball to Davis that bounced right off the receiver. Yes, Sauce Gardner had close coverage on the play, but those are the types of plays you need to haul in as the team’s No. 2 receiver.

Isaiah McKenzie got involved late with a nine yard run and two receptions for 12 yards, but the team has lacked any consistent threat in the slot since Cole Beasley was on the roster. Dawson Knox had three catches in the loss.

With no one stepping up on a week-to-week basis outside of Diggs, it’s time to call Odell Beckham Jr. According to Jay Glazer, the receiver is expected to be cleared this week. It’s time for Buffalo to make an offer, send him a playbook and get him involved in the offense for meaningful games come December, January and, hopefully for the Bills, February.

they could bring in Jerry Rice in his prime.

won't matter, until Josh stops locking onto Diggs

He'll stop locking on to Diggs when he has another option.  Davis is not a possession receiver; and there's no meaningful slot threat to speak of.  This offense really misses Beasley's reliability.

Exactly.

The other guy they miss is Crowder.  No one paid much attention at the time, but that was a big loss that wasn't addressed and is now showing itself to be a major problem.

I think Gabe is a WR2, though he didn't have his best game today.  I don't think Josh locks onto Diggs; Josh typically spreads the ball around, it's just that the Jets did a good job in man coverage today which took away most of his options. Agree that we miss Beasley's reliability.

Thank the Vax Nazis for poisoning his tenure here. Hope they’re Talking’ Proud now.

Exactly, I was excited about this signing but then the dude was immediately hurt and now it looks like he's done for the year. Lil Dirty hasn't done much except look totally lost so I'd put in Shakir or Hines in that spot.

Yup and that's why the Vax Nazis will get no amnesty. Cole and Rodgers were 100% right.

Hes retired.

Only after a hellacious haranguing harassment by those Nazis. He could still play, but they kicked the joy out of him and they are bastards in my eyes for doing so.

Let's not miss sight of what's important.

He retired after two games with Tom Brady.

It looks unlikely that we, as the Bills Nation will be unable to drive the (rough-honed) wooden stake through his heart) in a SuperBowl victory, but a lifecrippling spinal fusion requiring career ending surgery seems quite appropriate. JMHO.

OBJ will think twice about signing with Buffalo after Josh's injury.  Personally, I think OBJ would be a distraction.

That just shows that he's smarter and more decisive than Gisele.
