I was asking my husband when all these "covid protocols" were going to end. Apparently, the answer is never.

Of course not.  I said it in the other thread: the biggest long-term result of COVID is instilling in everyone the belief that getting sick is an apocalyptic event.  With that attitude...of course, these protocols never end.

 

And again...I'll bring up AIDS.  Imagine if this paranoia were as universal 35 years ago.

Part of the problem is the government has done a masterful job of coordinating efforts to scare SO many. And I kinda get that if you're old, fat, immunocompromised, etc. But I can't tell you how many younger people I see driving around in their cars, alone, wearing a mask. They're posting photos and videos, tearfully exclaiming how happy their 5-year-old -- who doesn't like shots -- was so eager to get the vaccine.

 

There are just too many scenes and stories like this to even pretend this will ever end.
