They played well in front of him.  The one tough chance went in. 

Sabres played well overall. I think they directed play more than the Flyers and wound up with the better chances. Small consolation.

Overall team play has been very good to excellent in 3 out of 4 games thus far.  You won't win many games in this league scoring just one goal and when you score zero goals.....

Friday and Sunday's games just got a bit easier...

 

Alex Ovechkin won't be available for Washington's next four games after violating the NHL's COVID-19 protocols. 

Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Ilya Samsonov and Dmitry Orlov will be unavailable for the team's next four games and then their cases will be reviewed. Coach Peter Laviolette said Thursday that the four players will quarantine while following COVID-19 protocols. Laviolette mentioned that there was a positive case and they are all being held out for contact tracing. However, it wasn't stated if the positive case originated from the group of those four players.

They've been playing pretty well, honestly.  Yesterday they were dominant for large stretches of the game.
