Like you mentioned that the Bills had to overpay for FAs, even those as mediocre as Star, the Jets are doing the same right now.

The Jets may not suck for a whole lot longer.  I think Robert Selah might be the HC they need to build that team back up and may end up being better than the Pats and Dolphins, maybe not this year but soon enough.  Joe Douglas could at least be a decent GM, if not better, though hard to tell when he was saddled with Adam Gase for two years.

It's how it is in the NFL.  Players are only going to go to bad teams if deal is insanely better/longer term/significantly higher guarantee, which generally perpetuates the cycle.

So glad The Bills shook off that identity like it was snow. It took awhile, but the future looks bright, very bright.
