He's been activated from the covid list. If he tested positive and really had it, he should be good the rest of the season.

this is incorrect

the NFL protocol does not care if the player is (or was) actually sick - with permanent natural immunity

he could be gone again, as soon as he comes in contact with a vaxxed spreader

Yep.  Just look at Lamar Jackson.  Had COVID twice.  Status is "unvaccinated."

League policy divorces vaccination from any concept of illness, infection, or immunity.

Infection induced immunity is permanent?  Anecdotal evidence proves this is wrong!

stooping to anecdotal evidence now?

not enough Big Pharma rigged studies to refute natural immunity?

I think it's pretty clear that nothing confers permanent immunity to coronaviriuses.  Antibodies to other human coronaviruses start showing reduced levels from 6 months to 2 years after infection - COVID antibodies more likely follow the latter timeline (which is for SARS-COV 1).

Which could also mean that continued isolation from people and mask-wearing is counter-productive: is immunity is transient, constant low-level reinfection would be required to maintain antibody levels.  Basically, COVID would have to become an endemic disease for people to maintain any sort of resistance to it.

JFC. You are the anecdotal evidence king!

The remark was aimed precisely at your consistently absurd claims based on anecdotal evidence.

Since anecdotal evidence can't prove anything in a scientific study, as I've stated repeatedly,  that should have been your first clue that it was tongue in cheek....and the friggin emoji...

Agreed. My post was aimed at @Spartacus and his consistent lunacy.

Antibody levels are not an accurate guide as to one's immune protection from the virus.

Antibodies reduce over time, because they are not needed by the immune system if the virus is not currently active.

However, T-Cell and B-Cell levels remain fully functional, with the ability to re-engage antibodies when needed.

Survivors from the coronavirus SARS-1 from 2003 still have retained the key elements in their immune system, indicating a strong possibility that natural immunity to covid will last a long time. Much longer than your next booster jab.

Not NFL, per se, but interesting now to hear other professional athletes speak out about the vaccine.

I'm sure, much like we saw with Beasley, the fans will piss all over him.

Until he gets a double-triple, in which case the fans will once again have very short memory, much like you hear no one wanting to cut Beasley after 11 grabs vs the WTFs.

That was brilliant, especially the Hummina, Hummina responses from the press.

Here's something from Rolling Stone about a different NBA player, but man, oh, man, how the media loves to go after "the anti-vaxxers" in professional sports.

Makes you wonder how much RS gets from the NBA's boss in kickbacks. Is Rolling Stone a big publication in China?

That's funny.  Rolling Stone refused to pull a 2005 article about vaccine-caused autism in 2005, and was against mandatory measles vaccinations in 2015.

Well, at least they still do a bang-up job writing about music...much like MTV does a bang-up job showing music videos all the time.

You know who they'll never write about?

Zack Moss.

same issues faced by NFL

https://www.outkick.com/bradley-beal-people-shouldnt-be-pressured-into-taking-vaccine/

Not because he came to the conclusion we support, but because he’s asking questions. An athlete that statistically isn’t in harms way whatsoever, who is supposedly only impacting his own battle with covid, is now expected to get jabbed without raising any questions as to how it’s anyone else’s business? None of this makes sense, meanwhile half of our media claims it’s their job to pressure athletes like Bradley Beal because it’ll impact his “availability”.

If he can still contract the virus with or without the vaccine, how exactly would it impact his availability? Oh that’s right, it doesn’t. Look no further than when nine different vaccinated New York Yankees tested positive for covid and missed weeks of the season. Did anyone in the media ask questions as to what benefit was of being vaccinated those players had? Of course not, because they’re paid to look the other way like the complete dunces they are. They acted like world class athletes were about to deal with serious cases of covid when we all know that’s bologna.
