Only took a day for Poyer to understand his market value.  That tells you just how much diligence the agents are doing before the start of FA.  Glad to have him back, excited to have the secondary healthy for the fall.

I am feeling a lot better about the Bill's secondary now knowing Poyer and a healthy Hyde are coming back, TW should be fully healthy and the rook corners have a year under their belts.

Funny how that works, isn't it?

If the secondary can remain healthy, it's as good as anyone's in the NFL.  Now we just need to find the MLBer and figure out the scheme we're going to play and how much different it may be.

scheme and concepts probably won't change much

just need to play more aggressive -

like not playing 10 yards off the ball on 3rd and 5

from Jordan Poyer's presser today:

This is home.

There were teams that were interested and thought I would be a huge asset.

Ultimately, it came down to what he thought would make him happy and best for him and his family. Blessed, thankful, excited it is Buffalo. There was nothing out there that would have made him happy. Being in Buffalo was what was going to make him happy.

Beane and Drew handled it well, he sat back and let things play out.

He's healthy and ready to play. Physically and mentally, last year was his hardest year. He was playing with "one elbow." He played hurt all season. It was a lot of pressure and stress, but he feels like he is a better player and man because of it. He will hit the ground running for OTAs. He has his best ball ahead of him, and he will be playing at a high level this year.

A championship is his goal. He believes this is the right team to do that.

This was interesting: Kaiir came to his house in south Florida last week to hang out.

Leslie Frazier will be truly missed.  Frazier gave him confidence to play at a high level.  Frazier had learned to trust Poyer, and asked him to help to teach the young guys. And he called on him in meetings for his expectations on the forthcoming back (Frazier expected him to be prepared and helpful).

He was a 7th round pick, and if can do it, they can too. It is how much you want it.

He mentioned retirement a few times in this presser. He said after the last game he was like 'f-this, I'm done.'  Playing in the pro bowl he started to decompress.
