Hmm, how does such a thing work?

Compresses the neck to increase cranial blood volume, providing more cushioning of the brain against cumulative sub-concussive trauma.

Research is thin, but promising.  Marketing of this is nonsense - marketed as an over-the-counter device, but shouldn't be used by people with, among other things, "excessive blood alkalinity" or "collections of small blood vessels in the brain that are enlarged and irregular in structure."  Sure, because people buying medical devices OTC can be expected to know such things.

Execs, coaches, scouts rank NFL's top 10 cornerbacks for 2023

By way of refresher, here's how our process works: Voters give us their best 10 players at a position, then we compile the results and rank candidates based on number of top-10 votes and composite average, along with dozens of interviews, research and film-study help from ESPN NFL analyst Matt Bowen. In total, more than 80 voters submitted a ballot on at least one position, and in many cases all positions. We had several ties, so we broke them with the help of additional voting and follow-up calls with those surveyed.

1. Pat Surtain II, Broncos
2. Sauce Gardner, Jets
3. Jalen Ramsey, Dolphins
4. Jaire Alexander, Packers
5. Darius Slay, Eagles
6. Marlon Humphrey, Ravens
7. Marshon Lattimore, Saints
8. Travon Diggs, Cowboys
9. Denzel Ward, Browns
10. A. J. Terrell, Falcons

Honorable Mentions:

Tre'Davious White, Buffalo Bills: "I feel for him because he's been so good for so long but he hasn't looked right coming off that knee injury," an AFC scout said of White. "He was never the most explosive athlete so any loss of burst hurts. But he's one of the most technically sound corners in the league, and hopefully this year he's more comfortable on the knee."

Jalen Ramsey at #3?  Facing Diggs and Allen twice a year?

Execs, coaches, scouts rank NFL's top 10 safeties for 2023

1. Minkah Fitzpatrick, Steelers
2. Derwin James Jr, Chargers
3. Justin Simmons, Broncos
4. Budda Baker, Cardinals
5. Jevon Holland, Dolphins
6. Jessie Bates III, Falcons
7. Kevin Byard, Titans
8. C. J. Gardener-Johnson, Lions
9. Talanoa Hufangam 49ers
10. Antoine Winfield Jr, Buccaneers

Honorable Mentions:

Jordan Poyer, Buffalo Bills: Poyer has tallied 706 tackles, 11 sacks and 24 interceptions in his 10-year career. "You started to see some of the athleticism start to go last year, so maybe he's lost some of his ability to cover the field, but really instinctive and smart player, does everything right," an AFC scout said.

Micah Hyde, Buffalo Bills: Hyde tied for the team lead in interceptions (five) and fumble recoveries (two) in 2021. "I have no idea what to expect [coming off the neck injury]," a veteran AFC scout said. "But he's always been a really good safety and a good athlete, just older and on the decline."

I wish I could find the video of their DB after-season dinner from a few years ago. Definitely a tight group. I remember McKenzie even got an invite cus he played a few snaps.

The 2023 NFL season will kick off Sept. 7, and that means it's time for our annual ranking of the league's top 100 players. What can we expect from the game's best this season? And how do they stack up against each other?

To create our list, we asked a panel of dozens of ESPN NFL experts to rate players based on performance expectations for the 2023 season as compared with their peers. Emphasis was placed solely on the upcoming season and predicting potential greatness, rather than past performance, career résumé or positional value. That means long-term injuries and suspensions played a part, which is why Jalen Ramsey, for instance, is missing (out with a left meniscus injury). And from those ratings, we were able to rank the best of the best, 1 to 100.

</snip>

68. Tre'Davious White
CB | Bills
Age: 28
2022 rank: 88

White has put together a full offseason of work and is over a year and a half removed from tearing the ACL in his left knee. After playing only six games last season, the 2019 All-Pro has put in significant work to try to regain his pre-injury form. He's part of a Bills secondary with safety Micah Hyde also returning from a neck injury. -- Alaina Getzenberg

Signature stat: Since entering the league in 2017, White has held opposing quarterbacks to a 65.3 passer rating as the nearest defender, which is the sixth-best mark among backs with 200 targets, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

What they are saying: "It's a mental challenge, sometimes as much as a physical challenge [coming off a torn ACL] in terms of just the resiliency it takes to day after day after day, not only get yourself ready to play, but also continue to rehab your knee and he's been steadfast in his approach." -- Bills coach Sean McDermott

2023 projection: 71 tackles, 2 INTs
